Not my truck so my opinion doesn't matter one lick.

But what I see in the roof racks:

Yep, the OEM roof rack is 100% unsexy. It also doesn’t have great weight capacity down the middle.

They [CR] ain't lying either - this was my 20 Sierra at 6k miles. Glad to have traded that in...

    Screen Shot 2022-01-13 at 8.35.35 AM.jpg

To the OP - my 21 SR5 (Baja) did not have a gap like that in the roof strip. My 22 (Guanajuato) does. Like others have said...it's not a seal, so whatever...

A/C problems...this was the evaporator job...

2k miles later - same problem...wound up being the condenser. So all that for nothing. Oh I've got more photos of the carnage - it's a riot looking back at it now....not so much then.

    IMG_2133.jpg

The tech actually did a standup job putting it all back together - amazing actually.

How do you calibrate the Rest timer (green ring with the coffee cup) to your pee schedule?. It takes too long to count down, I could not hold it any longer. And then I could not reset it after I peed.

    yea, right?! - thousands!

Also hated that engine - Active fuel management cylinder deactivation BS - thing was terrible... and the auto start/stop... So thankful for my Tacoma. No bells/whistles for me please - I'd take manual windows if i could.

No bottle, I just rolled down the window, and peed out the window. No shrinkage here.

That’s not a seal. It’s a decorative strip. The gap is so when it expands and contracts in the Sun it doesn’t buckle as it is not glued down. The decorative strip is meant to be easily removed or replaced when you fit roof racks. The roof rack mounting fasteners are underneath.

Nahh. Dealer applied ceramic super coating to the paint, it is self-cleaning.

Guy in the car behind me had a bad case of road rage, for some reason. Was flipping out, flashing his light and honking. Moron was using windshield wipers on the sunny afternoon. Maybe he did not know how to turn them off since last time it rained????

Talking about wipers, did Toyota stop putting defrosting strips and rear window wipers in their trucks? My 2005 had it, but 22 does not. When did THAT happen?
    Damn beancounters.
