IMO, i think it looks like a facelift. From the Cab to the tail gate, the truck look's the same.

That will depend on how Toyota labels it. Based on past 500 threads, this would be a face-lift and not a redesign.

Is there any real difference? Functional. Or is just always some plastic. I'm not upgrading my plastic.

The Bonus part here, is the lower bumper may just fit right on a Gen 2.

Why doesn't this forum have the feature where it automatically searches for a thread with a similar title and shows a list to you while you are typing your retarded new thread? The Subaru forums have that and it's prevented me from making at least a couple new threads.

People's.....while I may look like an idiot right now for starting this thread, I assure you that I am not! I really have not looked at any of the other threads pertaining to this topic except for the wishful thinking photoshopped one of the 4runner front end so here is my BIIIIIIGGGG apology!

On another note though, the lines of the bumper sure do resemble a plastic ARB.

Bilstein 5100's on all four with some OME 885x's. Brute Force Fab front bumper. Warn winch. Koenig countersteers wrapped with duratracs.
i think the front of it is pretty ugly...people just need to take it all off and put a 2nd gen front on it (05-11) make it look like a truck at least

Ugly. I was hoping for it to resemble the 4Runner. Or maybe it's because I'm not a big fan of red trucks.

Looks to share the new angular concept Toyota is leaning towards. I'm surprised to say I don't mind the looks on the 2012. Surprised because I really dislike the Highlander and 4Runner's new looks, in fact my wife & I bought a left over 2010 H/L last year because we dislike the 2011's changes.

Now if Toyota would address some of the mechanical specs I dislike on the Tacoma (5) lugger like gear ratios, clutch linkage, bench seat, (4) speed?? Auto trans, etc.
