Is this the same hood as a 1st gen Tacoma?

I thought I read the door VIN correctly, but it was raining a bit, I was looking at multiple Toyotas, and we were just trying to find some radios and leave.

I thought this was an 2004 4runner, but now that I look online the 04 should have pieces that extend down, almost like points, between the grill and headlights. I looked at earlier years and on those the hood curved down in the front. Neither looked like this hood.

Isn't this the same hood as my 1st gen Tacoma? Which are flat in the front, or what Toyota is this??

When I had a new 88 back in 1989 and beyond, I knew everything that swapped. I'm a bit lost with swaps these days though...

this legendary 100 series shares nothing with the first gen Tacoma besides the manufacturer.

And, the 3rd gen 4Runner hoods arent the same either. They have different headlamps and grilles. The leading edge on a 3rd gen 4Runner is different than the 1st gen Tacoma. Unless you swap the Tacoma front end with a 4Runner front end.

EDIT--The 2004 4Runner is completely different then the 3rd gen and NOT the same as a 1st gen Tacoma.

I had a buddy a long time ago that swapped his 99 Tacoma front end to a 2002 4Runner front end just for the hood scoop that those came with. He had wrecked the Tacoma and did the swap.

Oh, this was a T100?? I forgot those oddballs existed. No wonder everything looked close, but nothing looked right to me.

    Thank you.

Edit - Sometimes all the badges are gone and I just didn't recognize this. That model didn't fit anything else? Even rearends, transmissions or T cases?

Land Cruiser 100 series. Hardly legendary, basically when cruisers turned from capable off road vehicles and work trucks into soccer mom mobiles. As stated, nothing in common with any Tacoma.
