Agreed! Of course, he laughed at that. Let’s see who laughs when I post pictures on Google reviews...at least I’ll be honest.

Yeah....let’s just say other STL tinters suggested that.

Sucks that they won't stand behind their work. Make sure you leave one on Yelp too!

My windows are factory tinted and I wanted another film applied over them so the tint was darker. Now, I would let it go if at the end of the day if said tint shop wasn’t rude about it. I also believe the OP got his fixed....no gap but he had to pay for the redo.

Here's mine. Can't tell anything has been done. Any gap would drive me insane.

Are yours tinted over the factory privacy glass?

I tint for a living, NO that is not acceptable by any means. With that said, the guy that tinted yours was an Amateur at best. On the non power sliders there is no where to hide the edge of the film, ie the gap you see. But, any good installer can tint that window with a lil know how and willingness to actually make it look right. Where are you located? Just curious.

Who the fuck charges that much. I’ve had 5-6 cars tinted in various places in SD and have never paid more than $350 (for the best). What shop did this garbage?

id take that shit back, tell the dude to strip the entire truck and get your money back and find a legit shop. Show them the pictures posted here and inform him he will no longer be tinting any of your cars in the future. Their craftsmanship has been shown.

Agree with above. Take it back and have them remove it. Don’t pay them and take someplace else. That should’ve never left the shop.

Why does everyone think I paid a lot of money? I only paid $250. $280 is super reasonable for ceramic tint. I guess I got what I paid for; but on the flip side I know better tinters who’d do a better job than this guy for the same price.

Oh, I wasn't assuming you paid a lot, I was just putting that out there for reference. We charge $215 for a carbon tint. I have seen some very astronomical pricing on tint jobs, it's funny what some people can charge and get away with. We have people all the time tell us we are too expensive. But we do a lifetime warranty on almost everything, no questions asked. Except on windshields.

Oh, I totally agree with the windshields. I swear I went through a windshield a year on my old Tacoma and Max depending on which one I drove more. I was replacing at least one during any given year.
