Got my camper shell tinted today, noticed there was a gap on the top. :( are tinting camper shells different than vehicles from your experience?

Shouldn't be any different from tinting windows, I would go back and have them re-tint or give you a discount. I bought pre-cut tint for my tacoma and the back glass was off by 3/8", I sent them a message with pictures and they sent new tint that fit perfectly.

Ok good to know. Thanks. When i called them just now. The guy said that was the best they can do and it was stretched to the max. But then told me to bring it by tomorrow for him to see if he stretch it more.

"stretched to the max"? WTF?! No that shouldn't look that way at all. He didn't want to take the time to do it correctly. Tint can't be stretched. It can be shrunk, but not stretched. A camper has flat windows and shouldn't require any shrinking. If it does, it's very minimal. It he stretched the tint he ruined it. I would personally ask for a full refund and go elsewhere. And if that's the best he can do, then he certainly shouldn't be tinting windows for a living. Just my 2 cents...

Oh, and if you take it back tomorrow all he could do is rip it off and cut a new one, the correct way. He won't be able to "stretch" it more after it has set on there a day. Unless...he didn't use actual tint and used a static cling type tint which I hope he knows better...

Lol, I don’t think tint can be stretched only shrunken? I’m not a tint professional, but I once stayed at a holiday inn.

I forgot to add the drivers side rear window. Its not that bad compared to the other side. I was surprised he finished the 2 side windows and the big rear one on the shell in exactly 50 mins.

Thread jack. I had my windshield done on my civic 50% or 75% i believe. Why do on coming lights look blurry. Have you seen the cars that people put eyelashes on? It makes the lights look like they have eyelashes. Gives me a fucken headache when driving.

Not here to start a debate about my windshield being tinted. Just want some feed back from the pros please. Was it the type of tint the guy used?

I would question this "professional's" ability. I would just ask for a refund and take it elsewhere. I don't think he will get it correct if "that's the best he can do". Just my opinion. The 50 min thing is about right though. It shouldn't take that long to do 3 windows, so that's about right. But nothing else he has done is.

Fern, as for oncoming lights looking blurry. Windshields and rear windows of cars have to be "shrunken" in order to make them lay right on the glass. Sometimes you are able to see the imperfections of the shrink patterns in the film, especially when certain lights hit them. That is most likely what you are seeing. Also, you are probably seeing the striations in the tint itself. That is how it's made, nothing you can do about that. Sometimes it's noticeable and sometimes it ain't. But that's how they make the film and you can't change it.
