Now I'm confused lmao. I only have one warning sticker and the shop that installed my remote start said I had to for legal reasons.

I know I'm being a PITA. In my line of work having incorrect documentation is a big deal. Peoples lives depend on it and if you've ever been in an airplane - your life has depended on it. That is not the case here, its just an oil change.

The point I'm making in the email and on this forum is the dealership is not doing things the right way. Verify, double check these things, its really not that difficult.

If the Business Manager at the dealership is telling me one thing, well then I'm going to make sure they are held accountable for his words. This is not some salesman. He is the Business Manager.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but doesn't that state the 4.0 (1GR-FE) still gets 5w-30?

Also, how "low" are you talking on the washer fluid? Was it under the line, or just not filled to the brim of the container?

Oil has to be correct grade... and thats all. Synthetic or normal is a choice of people running the vehicles.

I had the dealer do mine for the first 20K I don't have a clue what they put in it and frankly don't care it was full of oil and the filter was new. Maybe one time they used syn the next regular oil it does not matter it does calls for regular old oil. Switching back and froth makes no difference in 20K. It's now my problem and has been for the last 25K so every 5K it gets new oil and I personally don't buy into the syn. blend oil but there are enough threads about that all ready.

I do think I understand where you are coming from in general with the documentation, but you did start a thread titled "Is this too much complaining" and then proceeded to state you wanted free stuff. Mistakes happen, sounds like they tried to make it right and you put it on an open forum. So, yes too much complaining and not the most well looked upon behavior.

I didn't know the Manager was wrong when I bought the truck. All I wanted them to do was VERIFY the right oil. I'm working the system? You guys are funny!
That guy want a free hat!!! Grab the torches and pitchforks!!! He's going to make the price of a Toyota go up $.000002!! Kill him!! The dealer is not sure what is going on? Karma will take care of the guy trying to get what he was told he paid for!! He's a scam artist - he got a free t-shirt!! Kill him!!!

OP- You received typical dealership service dept treatment. My windshield wiper fluid has been close to empty my last 2 complimentary service visits yet I receive a check off list stating that they filled it. That list is meaningless. Just a worthless report of service they never perform. I have been buying new cars/trucks since 1973 and realize that complaining does absolutely nothing. Just accept the poor service because it's with every dealership. Just make sure you engine has oil in it before you drive off.
I know some will say that their dealership is the best but in my 41 years of buying/servicing car/trucks, I have yet to meet this holy grail of dealerships. They do not exist!

Why do you need something free? Would it rectify the situation?

Almost all of us has had some type of issue with the dealership at one time or another. You posted your email, mentioned you did it mainly to get some free stuff, and now that the responses are not what you expected you get sarcastic.

What do you want us to say?

I'd email you back clarifying conventional oil is what is used, and for the misunderstanding enjoy your synthetic you are currently running as a complimentary service. Expect conventional going forward. Thanks for being a Toyota customer.

All dealerships are pretty much rip offs. The only difference is level. If you want to get something done, and make sure is done the right way you got to do it yourself...
window washer fluid, not greasing the driveshafts, not changing oil filters, draining transmission instead of engine ... not filling engine with oil. the list goes on and on. Toyota is bette to deal with than GM or Ford, but still service guys are not that great. Sadly finding decent mechanic in last decade had become harder and harder.

Are you SURE they put synthetic in or are you just taking their word? You might want to get it tested to make sure.

    Really dude?
So you know that they put the correct oil into your truck according to the manual yet you bitched and moaned. Yeah I get that the salesman told you that the truck takes synthetic oil most toyotas do theses days. So I understand where this misinformation came from and apparently you knew also.

So by your logic, if the salesman told you that the truck took 15w40 dino oil that you would insist that that would be what was put into your truck even though you know its wrong.

You're a scumbag and im pretty sure you're justing looking to get some freebies.
