Service Manager replied to my email and apparently this is not the first time there has been confusion on whether these trucks take conventional or synthetic. He apologized for the other items being marked off the checklist and not being completed. Unlike most of the people on this forum he took the time to read and understand my main complaint - checking off items that were not completed. The wiper fluid tank is 3/4 empty. That tells me the tech never even looked at it or most likely anything else for that matter.
I did not bitch and moan I asked the service guy to VERIFY which oil should be used in my truck. He reversed his original statement and had the oil drained and replaced. I did not demand this be done. I told him what the BUSINESS MANAGER (someone who SHOULD know what oil goes in which model) told me was in my truck.

The getting something for free was a bad attempt at humor. Although the service manager has offered 15% of my parts purchase. As a kind and generous gesture. The service manager has also offered to do a personal inspection on my truck and spend a few minutes with me to discuss any concerns I may have. Now that was the intention of the email. Someone admitted they did a crappy job and are willing to step up and make it right. Not get all bent about an honest (non-critical) assessment of their service.

In my previous jobs or experience if someone is mistaken they offer a gesture of something to keep a good working relationship.

After being on this forum for a few months I mistakenly thought there was a certain amount of tongue in check humor that was acceptable. Apparently most are waiting to pounce on some minuscule detail of he said, she said BS that goes on everywhere else. Judgment, name-calling, narcissistic rhetoric it is the same everywhere.

I should have clarified I was not aware of the T-TT-0005-10 document until AFTER the oil change was done. And thank you whoever originally posted that information. I forwarded it to my dealership.

Most of the stuff on this forum is informative and helpful. I will stick to those thread and ignore all the other BS. I should have ignored the ridiculous comments today but I got sucked into the negativity before I knew it, I guess. Sorry if I offended anyone.

I think it's pretty much been established that a lot ( not all) dealers are not your friend. The only time they are nice to you is when they are salivating at the thought of selling you a vehicle that is overpriced.

That was my intent. The service manager took it that way based on his response.
