Is this TRD OR Package option possible?

I think I finally have a solid understanding of each trim, and which packages are available in it.

I'm hoping to find a TRD OR, DCSB, Manual Transmission with tech and premium.

I found a dealer that lists a TRDOR DCSB MT, but doesn't explicitly say the package (annoying as shit). If you click the link you can check the features and kind of put 2 and 2 together. It lists features as navigation, blind spot monitoring, cross traffic alert (OK, so it has tech package) and then also lists Sunroof, heated driver seat, dual climate A/c (OK, so that's premium package as well) but then it lists cloth seats. As I understand it, the premium package comes with leather seats. Does that add up, or is this just another incorrect Dealer listing?

I've sen them an email to see if they will clarify, but so far it seems like sales people don't want to talk online. They want your ass in the booth signing papers. We'll see if he gets back to me. If he does and it is leather, the price looks right so I'll probably move on it.

I think leather became available in 2018 but I'm not 100%. Maybe that's why it has cloth because its earlier.:notsure:

Sorry, I should have clarified, its a brand new, 2019. But perhaps that's why their site lists cloth seats. Maybe it still lists the package options from the 2017s when leather wasn't a part of that package?

Thanks, I'll update if and when I hear back. They're asking $35,8xx after their "discount" and $1000 bucks off from Toyota factory rebate.

I saw the same thing the other day. The dealer I bought my Frontier from emailed me saying they have a strong need for my year of truck and wanted me to trade it in. I told them exactly what I wanted (TRD OR or Limited, both tech and premium package) and they found a 2017 OR with both packages, but looking inside..it had cloth seats, but it clearly had the heated option..kind threw me for a loop lol curious to see the answer too

My '17 OR had tech and premium package. It has cloth seats. Which I wanted because leather gets too hot down here in the desert.

I bought my last truck strictly thru text message.. The initial emails I sent out were responded to promptly by each dealer... Maybe you need to go to a different place if they arent answering your questions.. Most dealerships realize in todays time that the days of people just walking in off the street and buying are pretty much over.. everybody does their looking on line now.. Maybe they are just busy and cant get back to you though.. Good luck.

Same here. I bought mine completely online. They even made me an offer on my trade-in from pictures I texted them. I had to drive 6 hours one way to pick it up but I got exactly what I wanted.

Exactly.. The only time I talked to the salesman was when I called to give him the deposit and when I showed up to sign the paperwork.. Everything else was handled thru text.. I sent him pics of my trade and all.. So much easier to do business like that.. I was at the dealership long enough to test drive and sign.. Everything was already done by the time I got there.. I was at the dealer about an hr and a half.

I would love to just do all of this online. "I know what I want, please tell me if you have it. If not, can you find it? If you can, what is the asking price?" should be all I need to say. We can negotiate from that point. I essentially sent that email, specifically listing the model and trim line and packages 4 days ago to several different dealerships. I've heard back from 1.

Its such a hassle to take time out of my day and around my work schedule to drive an hour or more to a dealership only to find out that they don't have what I'm looking for, but still want to play all these games with me.

The Manual Off Road can have Premium and Tech Packages, not real common but you can always order one too.

Yes it is possible. I know because that's exactly what I told the dealer I wanted when I walked in. They are apparently hard to find without actually ordering it right from the factory, at least in northern Colorado. Mine is being shipped in from Indiana and hopefully showing up tomorrow. Depending on how much your dealer can/will help they should be able to trade another dealer for one. Fwiw a week ago there was one in magnetic gunmetal in Durango, CO that they were trying to get for me but I didn't want mgm so you might be able to ask them about that sort of thing .

How was your negotiating price impacted by them having to do a dealer swap for you? I assume the scarcity of that vehicle makes it more difficult to negotiate on. Mind sharing your agreed to price before TTL?

Edit- Also, just to clarify -- you are saying your 2019 TRD Off Road MT DCSB has tech and premium, but also cloth seats and not leather?

If it's a dealer trade the price should not be any different as they usually do it with dealers they are friendly with. If you are ordering one you may not have as much bargain power and may have to put down a deposit.

About 40k out the door. And I may have misread your post now that you mention it. Mine is tech/premium w/ leather. I know you can get heated cloth seats though. Do you want leather or cloth seats?

Edit: I also put down a refundable $500 deposit to hold it for me and you may or may not end up covering transport costs .

The heated cloth ended after 2017.

I would not put much faith in a salesman, seems like the customer usually knows more. 2016 and 2017 had Premium and Tech as a single package and only came with Cloth, 2018 and 2019 had Premium and Technology as separate packages and come with Leather.

You're right .I just double checked on the Toyota website. That may have came up when we were discussing buying used.

Find a dealer that will order you what you want. I used Chris at Riverview Toyota in Phoenix. I flew out and drove it home. Saved a lot of money too.

You might be thinking about it too much. A lot of times the online listing will list all standard options as well as all added options. In this case the cloth is only mentioned because the truck listed(before added options) included cloth as standard.
