I paid 23k cash for everything you see on my truck (Less the CB, PA, and a different set of wheels n tires- nice ones on it before), with 24,033 miles on it. TOO much for the mileage. $15,000. Tacoma's a great truck but not everyone's a great owner. Does look clean but that doesn't say too much though it does help lean toward taking care of it mechanically for the last 121,xxx miles

    So here's the play.

If it's close, you go look at it.

If it's far away, you check via email.

You say that you like the truck, but after checking around, you conclude that the price is high for a taco with that many miles - even considering the nice mods that have been made to the truck.

You tell him you're not in any hurry, so assuming the truck hasn't sold in a couple weeks (which you believe it won't at this price) he can call you or email you, and give him your contact info.

Now, the seller most likely won't keep your contact info. He'll belive that the truck will sell at the asking price.

So you keep HIS contact info on hand. In two weeks, you ring back and ask if it's sold yet, and if he's now willing to consider a lower price?

Nothing softens the asking price like the passage of time.
