The manufacturer maximum tow rating is 6,400#.
    He’s hauling a trailer up to 6,500#.
When they leave the site weighing (and balancing) of a dump trailer are not an exact science and it is very likely it is overloaded (and poorly balanced) on a regular basis.

A manufacturer tow rating also has the manufacturer guidelines on what other weight to subtract in order to find out how much you can tow. Per the manufacturer tow rating the Tacoma in actual construction working truck order, with an actual construction worker driver, can tow far less than 6,400#. So he’s not covered or within manufacturer tow rating if he pulls more than that. What is confusing?

I understand how they weigh a trailer however I do not understand how you responded to my post.

People were saying he just has to stay within manufacturer limits. I was stating that his conditions are obviously outside of those. Not sure what else ya want ha.

Don't use a personal for company bidness. It isnt just a wear/tear issue. It muddies the waters on liability issues.
