Is Toyota finally shipping 16's with proper fluid levels?

So, took my Tacoma into the local dealership today and they wanted to keep it overnight because apparently the fluid needs to be cold to check. I said no. The coolest part of the story was that they told me that they were gonna hook up a computer to my truck to check the tranny fluid level. I may be wrong here, but don't you just fill the fluid until it starts coming out of the fill plug? They are making this simple task a real pain in the ass. I went in last week to have this done and they told me I had to make an appt. so I show up today at 1pm when they made the appt. and then was told that the fluid needed to be cold. Why make an appt at 1pm in the afternoon in the middle of the summer if what you are going to do to the vehicle requires the fluids to be cool? Now I get to take it in at 7 am. Does the fluid really need to be cold for them to check it properly?

Took my Tacoma to dealer and was able to convince service rep to check the auto transmission fluid level. After a test drive, they did and found the level was 0.8 qt low. He said he would pass the word around for problems with low fluid with towing package installed.
I feel that my transmission shifts better all the way around.
I did leave my truck with them overnight and they checked fluid level when cold.
I feel better now',,,,,,,,,

Next guy goes in complaining of trans issues.... service advisor is like "nah man never heard anything about it!"

I've got 2 built in May. They are fine, nothing unusual.

of course its not "unusual". It's a characteristic of the vehicle. It would be unusual if it weren't low.

So they both squeak, transmission is low on fluid and the driveline vibrates
