Is ToyotaPartsDeal.com a good site to order from. Looking to order a set of black Beadlocks and they seem to have a good price on them. Thanks

I've purchased parts from toyotapartsdeal before. No problems. Toyota dealer located in SoCal.

There are countless online sellers. Many sell the part for less; then drill you on shipping. I always ask for shipping cost to my zip code before pulling the trigger.

Don't forget to look at ebay. There are Toyota dealers who sell there that in many cases sell for less AND ship for free.

I just purchased new sun visors from them. descent delivery time. You just need to make sure you have the correct part number for what you want. of the two sun visors the one for the drivers side was wrong. (My mistake) they did charge me a restocking fee. However, they paid for shipping it back.

Agreed. Not sure if he can really get a better price since I don't know what either charges, but gunny has always been very helpful, quick to reply and an asset to the site to obtain oem parts at a good price.

I purchase OEM parts online routinely. I notice minor price differences between them. My mainstay for Toyota for years has been TOYOTA PARTS CENTER (Olathe Toyota).

Infrequently delays, mixups, returns, etc happen in this mode of sourcing. With that experience and perspective, frankly I value an OEM parts supplier’s reliability, integrity, and customer focus way more than a few bucks in price either way.

I recently tried ToyotaPartsDeal to see if they offered sig price, delivery, or service benefits.

I placed an order for seat belt assemblies. Several days later, TPD informed me that these parts aren't available and cancelled the order. OK. Happens. Question: why did their site indicate availability? Why did they accept the order? Curios. This should have alerted me that their systems aren’t robust?

I placed order for A $288 part with TPD on 6/17/2018. No part was received. Began inquiries by email with TPD 7/23. No response. Inquired thru website 7/26. On 7/28 by a “no reply”email promised quick response. No response. On 8/7 inquired by chat. Chat agent not able to correct, so, oddly, he referred the case to their “RMA” department. I soon received this bizarre “no reply” email from them:
“In order to process your RMA request for this order, please review the information below. We apologize for any inconveniences. However, the tracking number does show USPS delivered this item to the address on file. Unfortunately, we would not be able to send out a replacement order.”

INCONVENIENCES? In frank words TPD is saying “We’ve got your money, and that’s what we value in your transaction with us. You were screwed the moment you placed your order. Do not expect us to give attention to solve the problem that we created for you, because we don’t believe that we are responsible for how our sales turn out. Stop bothering us an go go fight USPS for the part we decided (for you) to ship by them.”

USPS, UPS, and Fedex reliably/repeatedly deliver to this address. All online vendors that I’ve dealt with will start a claim when what they paid a shipper to deliver to doesn’t arrive at their customer. Not this outfit. I believe that that they know or could find the mistake that was made that resulted in the $288 loss that they consider to be mine.

So this is an expensive lesson learned for me. For reliability, service, and integrity, this organization is off my list.

I placed an order with TPD this weekend. I made a mistake and actually ended up putting in the wrong quantity. Used their online chat to fix it and the order was adjusted on the spot. It shipped 1 business day after order placed.

I'll be ordering from them again.

I used to order from this company when they went by Toyota Parts Zone and never had any issues. Recently, I've tried to place 2 orders and both got cancelled with no initial explanation. First was a list of about 25 parts for my Supra restoration. They showed all items as available when I was adding everything to my cart and completing my purchase. A few minutes later I get an email stating that some of the parts were discontinued, but didn't say which ones. They completely cancelled the entire order instead of just removing the discontinued ones. I would probably still have bought whatever was available from them, but they didn't give me that opportunity. A couple weeks later, I tried to order another part. After placing the order, it was immediately cancelled. I asked the online chat agent and they said to call Paypal. I contacted Paypal and they said that the address that TPD used was wrong and didn't match the one on file. TPD tried to put my apartment number as a separate line so Paypal marked it as potential fraud. Either way, I won't be buying from them anymore and will continue to go to Toyota of Dallas/TRDParts4U.

Tell them you need the tracking information in order to file report with either the USPS or your local police. Amazingly, when people start getting dragged into mail fraud investigations, stories start to change.

I'll 2nd Olathe Toyota, never had any problems from them. When I was looking for my beadlocks, I got a quote from my local dealership, checked TPD and Olathe, ended up ordering them off of eBay, I'm pretty sure it was Olathe's eBay account. Anyhow, I got 4 bronze beadlocks shipped to my door for about 260 bucks cheaper than the local dealership. Good luck!

I usually go with Olathe if I'm in a hurry since they are closer but Norwalk has better prices.

Agreed. I've placed three orders with Toyota Parts Deal. They are not a dealer, they source various dealers around the country to fill orders. If it goes thru, no problem you'll get it in a few days. If there's an issue, you're screwed. They shipped me a damaged firewall insulation. It was old and dried out and broken but the box was perfect- it was obviously sitting around for a decade in a hot warehouse. Multiple calls and emails I finally get an RMA to return it after weeks and hours of trying. I had to drive 20 miles RT to Fed Ex to drop it off. Why they wanted a ~$60 damaged part back is beyond me because I emailed pictures showing it was junk. They received the part and charged me a $15 restocking fee on it!!!! On a damaged part that they shipped me!!!!

I have another experience with them from an order at the same time that I'm still trying to work out and it's ~$360. This is an even worse ordeal and too long to go into now. But I'm out $360 for an order that I cancelled and wasn't even shipped.

I will not use them again. Their customer service is nice when you can get someone on the phone but they are also generally clueless.

The answer is NO. Find a dealer to order thru even if you'll pay a few dollars more. If there is a problem at least you can talk to someone that will actually help you.

Another vote for Olathe. I also use OEM Part World, I believe they're Heartland Toyota in Bremerton, WA.
