    It's a 2nd gen.... so....

    no.

    lol

It has "some body damage" lol, is there a straight panel on that truck?

I've seen 5 lugs with no body damage go for not much more than that, though. I'd talk them down.

A body shop is going to charge you a couple grand to fix that.

Based on what little info is provided in the poorly-worded description from the seller, I'd be afraid of what other issues the truck has that aren't as visible to the eye as the body damage is.

Although he is selling it for about half what KBB says it would go for...I did a quick search based on the year and mileage and that 5 lug if it were in excellent shape could fetch $8k privately.

If you want to go for it, I would have a mechanic look it over first and make sure they frame isn't bent and the engine/transmission are in good shape

From what it looks the following panels are hit:
    both pass side doors,
    bed (on the pass side)
    driver side front fender
    tailgate

The rear bumber is pushed forward so it looks like it got rear-ended followed by spinout. Drive-terrain and suspension might not like that exercise.

Unless a low price is all you care about, I would pass on that and look for something better. If you are going to buy it, I would low ball the hell out of it.

if you really like the truck that determines cost is not an issue to fix it up. if you don't really care then just drive it.
