Didn’t get quite that good a deal, but at over $100 less than the 400, it seemed like a smart choice.

On the 300p, does anyone else struggle to close the valve lever?

@jbrant that was probably before the economy improved, new nafta, etc. they’re $250 now.

Mine was like that, I sprayed some dry lube on it and it's easy/smooth to close ever since.

Anyone mounting these, or do you all keep them in the bag?

Was going to do a semi-perminent install...Then needed it for a lawn tractor tire. Decided "handy" is handy....leaving it in bag.

Makes sense, I was looking into something that could pressurise a shower as well. It'd be nice just to have a port hooked up somewhere. How loud is yours?

    Not obnoxious loud....

    62 and a music fan since I was a kid...LOVE classic rock...

I quit playing music while driving because I deplore "noise"....

With that, I don't consider a VIAIR compressor loud enough to notice...

There are other pumps designed to be hard mounted. You'd need to do a few mods to it to make it work well. The portable ones are really IP rated (iirc), either. I just keep it in the bag. I have 3 vehicles, a couple trailers, motorcycle, etc... It's nice to not have to drive my truck around just to inflate some tires.

I have the 450p version; 100% duty cycle. Works great and the bag is big enough to hold a patch kit, spare gauge and the ARB deflator tool.

88p on 265/65 16s took 1minute 20 seconds till fill from 15psi to 28psi.. gauge on pump is not very accurate.. but within 3psi.. 32x11.5 jeeptire from dead empty (was lower than I thought, only had 10psi in it when.i hooked the air down tool on..) to 8psi took 1minute exactly.. to 28psi took 4 minutes exactly... and that's from 0psi empty... seems like this pump will work great for airing down to 18-20psi to top up when going back on the road... oh and the 88p came with a bag, and 2 nozzles, and a needle for rolling innertubes/sports balls.

Just got the 300p and tested it out, but didn’t time it. It has the air down feature which worked better than expected. Went from 39 psi to 25 psi and back to 39 in just a couple of minutes. The chuck clamped on to my valve stem no problem ( a common complaint of this chuck ). Between the power lead and the air hose was able to reach all 4 tire no trouble. Seems like a win!FB9180C5-7243-4C93-BA82-C2B222773E3F.jpg

Depending on the deals available at the time, I choose the 88p. Worked great the one time I did use it. If the price was more comparable when I bough it, I probably would have gone the next size up.

I have the 88p and I wish I woulda got something better. Still might.

It's slow, gets so god damn hot it's dangerous after 2 tires. Gotta wait to put it back in the bag. Air up party needs to be long enough to cool it down and drink some beers.. it gets reeeeal hot

    The hose is meh.

Does anyone know if the hose (or at least the tip) is replaceable.. it's a decent little affordable compressor. But yeah. Just my $0.02
