    Not very.
I can get to Lac-Megantic (where they had that train wreck recently) in about 3 hours (less on the bike). Used to do it all the time in high school (since you can drink legally at 18 in Quebec), because I was living in Farmington at that point and it was only a 2 hour trip.

HAHA, that is funny! I can afford a 4wd, but I have not had any issues with my Pre-Runner up to this point but we have only had a few inches of snow here & there, nothing serious. I do WANT a 4wd but don't feel inferior without it or MANLIER with it! I know how to make what I have work for the time being & don't have to have that extra security blanket where I live. Granted, it IS possible to get over 2 feet of snow around here in a short period of time & when that happens I will do what I have to do, but like I've said in the past, what gets me around easily thus far is good enough for me & less costly!

I had a 97 pre runner with a locker in the rear and a fab tech long travel. I never had a problem driving around the sand (glamis or pismo) and those are the only two places I would ever need 4x4 so living in so cal where the terrain isn't that rocky and we NEVER get snow, I'd be cool with a 2x4 even though the most questions asked when selling used is (is it 4 wheel drive?)

True 4x4 here. I have this neat knob on the dash in my truck. Not sure you guys know about it but all I have to do is press and turn and it turns into a true 4wd.

It takes more than turning the knob to 4x4 to be a true 4wd... Since you are a Sport I would say that makes you a 2.5wd since I think you still have TRAC in 4wd. Unless you have installed front and rear lockers that is.

Sigh. There really should be a sarcasm indicator somewhere, but then it wouldn't be humorous.

I was just being sarcastic. I actually don't even know if my truck has the elocker like my off road did. Haven't looked.

Sometimes, but I haven't personally needed it, so it depends. I can say for what is important to me, including getting where I need to go 2wd > 4wd.

For things unimportant to me I agree, 4wd >2wd.

4WD is a more capable truck than the 2WD model , there can be no argument

Only on some metrics, on others 2wd is more capable.

Traction, yes, but that isn't the only measure of capability.

If you have a truck that is 4WD and you have the exact same truck and it's 2WD , which one is more capable ?

    That's right , the DCLB 4x4 bitches

    You heard it here first

Depends on what you are trying to do.

A 2wd has a more capable driving range, and a higher payload capacity.

    Pre-runner is quicker than a 4x4.

Don't understand this argument. In stock form the only thing a 2wd is better at is MPG. That's coming from a guy who's 2wd but far from stock form.
