I bought my new 2020 SR with the plan to do some road trips which isn't happening. It's over a month old with 600 miles on it but I don't dare complain, many are suffering physically and financially. I'll get a chance soon enough. I can't believe how much better this Taco is compared to my 06 which I didn't like in any way.

I've been staying at home for a little over a month now so maybe around 15 mi driven. I did finally have time to install:
    - Bumper (been sitting in the garage for like 8 months)
    - New fog lights
    - Winch w/ wireless remote

(Both pics I had my bed rack and tent removed) Before quarantine:

Damn , I went for a drive just to go for a drive and gas was $1.49 . Last time I saw it , it was $1.89 a couple weeks ago . I hear that there is so much oil already pumped out of the ground in the world that there is no where to store it . When I started driving , gas was about .79 in 1974 before the huge increase to over 1 dollar . I would love to see it drop below .79 , even if for only a day .
Anyway , it was fun to drive it again . Going to go out this weekend to burn out the 1.89 gas to make room for the cheaper stuff lol.
Edit , I hope this all blows over for those out of work soon . I firmly believe there will be a lot of options in the future . I have been through a few of these downturns and have never seen the things the Gov. is doing to help this time .

The Coronavirus is scary enough but what scares me just as much is where all this stimulus money is coming from to bail everyone out. Our national debt is already eating into our paychecks with inflation and now they are throwing money around like its nothing. I guess they'll just print some more. I'm not against giving someone a hand up but how are they handing out money they don't really have?
I am also concerned as to why so many people are lining up in long lines at the food banks because they dont have any money for food. To me it seems most people are living from paycheck to paycheck and yet they tell us the economy is great. If nothing else the coronavirus is exposing how inept our government has become. People are quick to blame Obama but he has not been in office for over 3 years. Before this is over we will be in a recession or worse.

One can never have too many light bars.
I've gone out and driven around aimlessly a few times just to get out of the house.

Drove to my counties DMV office to get plates only to be told to go home and get them online.

Here is the issue, last week I tried to register online and received a notice to contact my county DMV office, which I did and was told to go to the nearest office (25 minutes away), they are using a safe window portal to process transactions. As I drove up there was a huge sign stating only pre-arranged appointments were accepted so I called the number on the sign from the parking lot only to be told to go home and go online. I explained the situation, I was told if it happens again to call them and set up an appointment. So, I am home and the system works now but it charges you a $25.00 service fee WTF...

Oh well, I got out and drove the truck - so I was able to drive around without any issues with the windows down a little and the moon roof open - nice change of pace but it just makes me want to get OUT and drive my truck more...

I had a planned week and in Del Ray last month.Coming from NY. I rented a Ford Raptor and was going to Cruz around and visit family and some old friends. When this thing started I said to wife I am not getting on a plane so we could stay home or drive. So we drove down before most of this whole thing started. Now a month later I am in central FLA renting a camper on private farm for about a month in the country. Try not to drive too much though because of the NY plates people get freaked out. Weather is awesome here and didn’t see a reason to hurry back. Can’t even visit my kids if I were home anyway. I do wish I was home lots of things to get done but we will see if the peak actually happens. I did get the money back for the Raptor. The funny thing is when I was in Del Ray i didn’t even visit my brother who was 4 miles from where I was staying. Going to stop in the country and rent a cabin on way back to NY. So lots of driving for me. But I did just buy an RC 350 that is sitting probably with a dead battery in my driveway back home. Didn’t plug it in because I thought I was only going to be gone a week. Saw another Inferno at Target the other day. Pro tip for social distancing- go to target instead of Walmart. Target always has about 1/3 of the people. Lol

Damn that's really shitty. I filed on 4/1, my first day out of work and got my first UI payment yesterday. Had no issues signing up online, many have had difficulty here in NY getting thru.

The company I work for just got an exemption to continue work on a bank project, so I'm going back to work mid next week for a couple weeks.

Hey buddy. Glad you got your funds. Yeah, California is just as bad as NY. Hopefully, it should kick in soon since the whole Nation is facing this crisis. I'm very thankful and blessed that my wife is a Nurse. She's swamped at work dealing with Covid-19 patients but we're very fortunate to have a steady income. I just pray for her and everyone in the frontline safety & health ;-(

I’m still working as much as I can and I have my eye on a 2019 Pro. If it’s still on the lot in August it’s coming home with me. I’m lucky enough to still be working with zero chance of being layed off. So from now till August I continue to save and lurk here.

The Tacoma has been quarantined from the trails but not from the daily drive to the hospital. I work for AHS Protective Services so it’s been fairly busy, but we think we may be in the calm before the storm.

Our economy is a very delicate balance. Inflation has been pretty much in check for a number of years, jobless rates the lowest in history and everything that points to people doing will has heretofore been positive. Take this many people out of the job force with no means to earn and income and pay bills, and business that are unable to sustain while completely shut down and somethings got to give. I guess the government could just let the strongest survive and the weaker ones just bite the dust. But that's just now how we do it. I'm not for hand outs to people that can but won't make and effort, but this situation is one we've not seen since the great depression and maybe WWII. We'll get through it if people will just work together instead of pointing fingers.

I wish we would hold multi-million+ dollar corporations to the same level of responsibility.

It's easy to blame Karen who drives a CPO Lexus for not being responsible with money and not having 3 months of emergency savings.

I'd rather help her out though than give the airlines billions of dollars because they're broke all of sudden, but have been dropping truck loads of cash on stock buy-backs up until recently.

Yeah, I'm on the same tank from mid-March, but we hike nearly every day. Just to the store during the old man early bird hours. In New Mexico we've had stay at home orders since middle March, and we're doing it. At 70 I want to live into my 90s. Miss the grandkids though. We're having virtual cocktail hours with friends. Beer still tastes as good.
