Yup, DD and off-road toy. Some day if I ever rebuild my 280Z the way I want, that'll probably become my daily... but for the next 5 or so years... :)

It was up until this past January. Got an offer to buy a '92 Tercel, now thats my DD. Now I feel more comfortable doing mods on the truck since its not getting as many miles but I do regularly haul a work trailer every saturday.

    2007 Tacoma 67,000 miles

    How about you guys?

    Tercel Fuelly 30 MPG's.

Mine is. I've put 17,000 miles on it in the 4 month's that I have had it. If I could afford and justify it I would have a 1st gen reg or access 4x4 for trails, $500 two weeks ago would have bought me the perfect truck minus the blown motor, or an older Jeep of some kind.

The Taco is my DD. I could drive the girlfriends Integra to work if I choose, but it's ugly, tiny, and slow. I could count the times we've drove her car on one hand.

After we get moved to Tally next semester and I secure a decent paying job I'm really thinking about buying a Scion tC or Civic SI. The gas money I'd save and wear on my Taco would make it worth it. Not only that, but having a lifted truck and dealing with parking garages isn't fun.

I also have an '05, mine is just now pushing 27k...it pretty much shares road duty with my '07 Rubicon. I've done a lot of mods to my Rubi to make it more off-road worthy, but haven't used it off road anywhere near what I planned when I got it.

I don't plan to use my Taco as a serious off-roader. I like it as it is so much I really don't plan to go that route. I just like having the 4wd capability for the mountains and some trails around Ouray, CO, where my wife and I like to make visits, and for winter driving if needed.

I really need to use my Rubicon more off-road, you are inspiring me to get busy...

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
i daily drive mine and love every minute of it, i used to daily drive my old 78 Ford Bronco, the money i have saved on gas is imaculate! lol i do some light off roading with mine but stay away from the narrow trails where it will get scratched up, mainly i use it to get to my dirtbike riding areas only. i am currently building a 1957 Willys Jeep CJ5 for offroading, i can just tow it to the mountains with my Tacoma.

    Ha!

Thanks. I ordered the Rubi from the factory back in '06, and have thought many times I should sell it and get an off-road beater instead, just can't bring myself to do that, somehow.

The Taco beats the Jeep in all other categories, ride, comfort, room, hauling capacity, power, gas mileage, etc. I love driving the Taco as much as possible. Jeep is a 6 spd, Taco is an auto. One of each is great. Why do I have two? cause I can't bring myself to get rid of either one...

I voted Daily Driver...because, despite the mods, it's certainly in DD configuration. But in reality it sits for 7-20 days at a time.

Reason is because I ride my motorcycle 80% of the time, to work, gym, etc. The truck usually only hits the road when I traveling and wheeling.
