I haven't even installed them yet the inner housing was melted enough that I couldn't even get the socket out. The only reason I found the melted socket is because I had to pull em apart to polish the inside of the lens. The socket is melted as well. I already wrote em off and more or less just trying to find if anybody else had issues with these lights. You threw yourself under the bus by commenting on this. I never said your name or said anything about you personally. I commend you on working with me on this but you are making yourself look bad by throwing a lil hissy fit. All I wanna do is get some of my money back. by selling them. I asked you to take em back when I first got them and you wouldn't do it. and actually I did get fucked because I bought a pair of headlights that are just sitting because I cant install them with a melted ass socket.

Dude I was able to take those bulbs in and out of the socket with no issues. Go look in my build thread and you can see that the only piece melted was the socket itself. I intentionally commented on your post because I am tired of hearing about how you got screwed on these headlights. I did everything possible to help you out when I really didnt have to. As far as looking bad and throwing a hissy fit, I prefer people to hear the whole story rather than you saying you got screwed. Regardless, if you mentioned my name or not my for sale thread is there with you buying them so you are making me look bad. You came make your damn money back by selling the LED bulbs and then selling the headlights. You can go take your shit else where because I am done with hearing this. You can see from many other members that I try to do right and be a good guy but dont talk shit about me. You bought used car parts what did you expect and you definitely wouldnt get the same level of help I gave to you over these.

Haha!!!! I am loyal to all my TacomaWorld brothers and sisters.

All I can say is @Sleipnir is a stand up dude. He has helped me with a few projects on my truck and never once asked for anything other than friendship. Heck, he even bought me the most bad ass flashlight and mount around!

I dint intend on throwng anybody under the bus, imo I didn't get that great of a deal. I understand where you are coming from with the bulbs. but since the inner housing where the socket attaches to is melted , even a new socket never seal properly and will always get condensation.....prob why you had issues with em. I have no hard feelings towards you. you got your money and all im trying to do Is recoup some of mine.

I can respect both sides of this, I guess in the presentation of relating mxer512's story he could of tried to come off maybe a little more neutral in regards to this situation, but I think he was trying to relate to the OP for the main intention. If the lights had worked out for him, he would of had less relevance to his situation in adding knowledge/feedback for the OP's current situation. Lets be honest though, good deal or not anyone is going to be excited and hopeful that what they bought will work (not saying it didn't, or that the buyer didn't have some sort of expectation of their condition) and when things come to fruition that the plan for it isn't going to work can suck as now they are stuck with it.

I also think based off what has been said, that sleipnir sounds to be an honest and straight forward guy. I know if Im selling something that isn't perfect, I too tend to probably take more of a hit than others and honestly look out for a fellow member like it sounds that sleipnir has. I think both of you guys are good people from the way it sounds, granted this is me seeing an exchange of only a few posts, but the positive influence is there.

If I were to go forward with this, accept that things didn't work out as the buyer...BUT he can always sell the LED's and break even. Or, the buyer can see if the seller wants to buy back the LED's assuming he still has use for them and then in a way things got refunded. At the price point of $80 (not including the LEDs) for a set of $500 headlights, hell Im willing to solder/cut/ghetto glue shit until this unit becomes useable. Given enough knowledge Im sure that light can be put to some use...its just molded plastic at the end of the day. Granted I am a engineer by trade, so sometimes I see potential where others may not.

I hope I don't offend either of you in my remarks, but I do believe this added experience to the OP has gotten a little over heated.

SIDE NOTE: I want to see that flashlight mount PRIDE-DE-CHAD!

Sad to say, this has been happening more frequently than I would like as of late. How much was that bad boy?

I think the mount itself is only about $30-35.
