I actually really wanted those STT PROs but they only come in E load in my size:(

    Great looking and tough tire.

To be completely honest i noticed no difference at all between SL, E and C load. My E loads were stock size and c loads are 265/70/17. Mpgs are the same as well. The biggest thing that i noticed was a rough ride with Es, especially offroad.

P245/75R16S Dynapro HT at 35lbs I could easily get 22 mpgs and eek out 24.

General Grabber AT2s in 265/75R16 at 52 lbs dropped to 20 mpgs

General Grabber X3 in 265/75R16 at 63 lbs dropped to 18 mpgs.

I think the reason i didnt feel much difference is that LT ko2s are not that heavy. 265/65/17 E loads were only 48.7 and 265/70/17 C Load are only 45. Not bad at all.

I always got advertised mpgs with all those tires.

    Build thread coming soon.
My truck is fully loaded with bumpers, sliders, steel skids, full aftermarket suspension, rrt. I run a 295/75/16, do about 75-85 miles off road and 125-150 mile per day on road five to six days a week. The reason I run an e-load tire is the puncture restiance. When running a c-load ko2's before all the mods I was repairing on average 3 flats a month some times more. Since I switched to the e-load tires I have yet to have one flat. As the Ol'graymare sets today she's at 154,289k. Now I will admit the milage is pretty bad. But I will take a hit there to not be on the side of the road changing a flat. My days are long enough as is.

2021 Gen 3 Tacoma long box double cab with BFG KO2’s, 265 70r17. Ran on E load for 3 weeks. Not the first time on A/T’s however it was my first time on A/T’s in a Taco.
Played with pressure everywhere from BFG direct recommended of 50psi down to Tire Shops recommended 28-30psi. Didn’t matter it always rode rough. I mean “chuck wagon” rough. Regardless of tire pressure my passenger seat actually rattled over specific bumps where it didn’t once switched to C load.
BFG actually does not recommend the E load for Tacos. They said it’s too heavy of a tire for that chassis for everyday driving.
Had them switched to C load and super happy I did. Fuel mileage improved right away, steering felt lighter and all around easier feeling to maneuver (stop and go). Some guys say you wouldn’t notice but I certainly did.
90% of my driving is on road so E load made no sense. They are not any quieter at all however just FYI.
My tire shoo fought tooth and nail to keep me on the E load saying it wouldn’t make any difference.
Do your homework on unsprung weights and you cannot deny it’s effects on your vehicle.

I run a undersized tire. 235/85/16 LT comes in at 51lb. Very very good off-road!

Toyo's are way better than BFG's. I ran both for decades. Now I love my General ATx's.

I had e-rated tires (KO2s), and I changed them out after a week.

The vehicle felt really slow. It messed with the braking. Also MPG took a huge hit.

If I could do it all over again, I would pick R17 rather than R16 rims. 17 inch rims gives you a wide range of C-rated tires to choose from.

only duratracs were offered in C if I remember right for 16 inch

Must say I am blown away by the fuel consumption difference average. I had heard 1-2 mpg but below is my average (according to my trucks computer) on my BFG KO2’s

    15.2 mpg on the 265 70r17, E rated
19.6 mpg on same size in a C rated

    Still get 18-19 mpg with my 265/65r17 E-load KO2s.
