I have a very disheartening problem with my brand new 2016TacomaTRDoffroad4x4.
I've had my truck for 2 weeks now and decided to put wheel spacers on it to give it a bolder stance.
After completing I was admiring the rear stance and noticed that my passenger side wheel was like 3/4's of in inch further out then the drivers side..... I was completely blown away and pretty much pissed I could say.

Long story short after getting ahold of the spacer maker and explaining what was going on and after taking them on and off all morning and checking the sizes of the spacers and if I had mounted them right and so on....
Then I had an idea to put it back to stock and check it that way to eliminate any factory flaws.

Upon further review the passenger side wheel is the same 3/4's further out then the drivers side. Upon even more inspection, the bed of my truck is not parallel with my cab!!

I rather quickly grab my things and headed straight to the dealership.
They were calm,, I was not.
They had me pull into the main mechanic shop area talk to that guy for about 5 minutes he said uuuhhhh thats a "Body Shop" issue and that it should be covered in my warranty,,,
Really buddy, I've had it 2 weeks it looks like the bed was pushed that way an inch I hope so...
Long story short he had me go over to the body shop. The guy looked in shock and said he'd never seen anything like it and had to talk to somebody else and that he would give me a call when he found out if it's fixable. Keep in mind I live 35 minutes away from the dealership. He said he might be able to bring the bed back over, well yea but what about the bumper,,,,? It's tied into the frame that means the bumper won't be in line with the bed.
Am I wrong here guys!!! Should I keep this truck and have them try to fix it or tell them I want a new truck?

I have posted two pictures of the difference of my bed side compared to the rear of my cab.

Several people on here have found the bed to be misaligned and had it fixed. It looks like yours is off from the pics, and *should* be fixable.

You're wound a little tight with all that swearing and punctuation.
The bed is easily adjustable, so is the bumper.

As mentioned, several others have found this on their trucks.

Loosen bed bolts, slide bed over slightly, tighten bolts.

Basically just sloppy assembly at the factory.

Wow, it is stuff like this that keeps me losing faith in society. It is not the end of the world OP, blowing up and throwing a fit over a minor thing is not the way to handle it. 40k isn't much, it doesn't entitle you to some completely trouble free truck (as all the others of this gen), just the ability to have it fixed if there is an issue. New truck  I am not sure what and how much to feel sorry for. Maybe you should sue them, Toyota and your salesman just to get the point across. Good thing you were installing spacers  and caught this!

Is this a 4x4 only issue, are the frames different or something that may cause the variance?
