I just put new wheels and tires on the truck, and I purchased new censors from Discount Tire when I did so. Truck looks great but the tire pressure is not reading. I've hit the reset button but its not registering. Am I missing something? Did they not actually install them?

Thanks for the help. Heres a pic of the truck though, it looks great!

Most likely they didn’t mate the new sensors to the truck. Just putting the TPMS sensors in the wheels will not match them. The truck cannot auto learn them either. The reset button is worthless. If you read the manual it really isn’t clear what it does but it DOES NOT learn sensors or allow to switch between sets of wheels. They have to use a tech stream tool to match each to the truck. I’d go back.

The reset button is for when you rotate tires and the system learns the new position of the existing sensors.

What was wrong with your current sensors? Discount Tire should have learned the new sensors to the ECU. Take it back.

Those wheels look great - nice choice. I recently had a set of tires installed and the shop broke 2 of my sensors removing the old ones from the rim. They replaced them and mated them up to the truck, but it took nearly a week for them to start showing a number again. You need to drive at least 25 minutes continuously for them to register. My commute to work is short and I'm not on the highway a lot, which is why it took so long for mine.

You don't buy a truck for its fucking fenders!
    2.5" lift w/35's
You need to go in with an OBD2 scanner and pair the new sensors to the ECU

Interesting. I commute to work on a train and barely drive these days, I wonder if this is the culprit.

Thank you for all of the replies, if it does correct soon I'll take it back to Discount Tire.

With my original wheels stacked in my garage, dealer pulloffs on, the TPMS light won't come on until over 30 continuous miles or so. It won't come on after I rotate my wheels.
