    Ok so a little update and another question. I took the truck in for service. I let them know of a few issues I was having. They called with an update and told me there replacing the vacuum pump, idler pulley and serpentine belt. So my question because I'm new to tacoma's does the vacuum pump run the 4 wheel drive? Could it have possibly engaging on accident? And yes the bed cap was coincidence? Also only 20k miles.

    So your gas pedal is drive by wire. There is no chance at all that it is binding up that gas pedal as nothing is attached to it.
