If you actually want every problem, you could add: Manual getting stuck in gear, transfer case breaking, uneven vinyl, fenders coming loose, rear window seals, uneven tailgate, crank position sensor, clutch sticking when cold. There's a big list, but the number of issues that actually matter and are seen in big numbers is relatively small.

The big issues as I see them:
Low fluids and grease from factory
    Driveline vibration at certain RPMs
    Weird Auto shifting
Trip computer reset (doesn't affect driveability, but lots have it)
Manual getting stuck in gear (hard to say how widspread due to low numbers of 6MTs)

My 6MT is going to be ready in a week or so, and only two of those actually have me nervous.

    Maybe also add

Tranny delay/jolt when transitioning from reverse to drive? (it happens to me once in a blue moon, but I have read it happens to others with high frequency)

Tranny shudder when slowing down and its downshifting from 2nd to 1st?

Transmission issues are covered. The specifics are not varied enough for their own poll..

Poll will not allow more choices.

Fair enough since there is no more space, but I would disagree on the varied comment. The prior mentioned issues don't fall under low fluid or hunting.

There have been several threads on the delay/jolt now, and the shudder has also been mentioned several times.

I'm currently in line to have my rear diff replaced for rear differential whine, which would be another separate tranny/driveline issue. There have been several others that have had to go this route.

Maybe there should be a separate tranny/driveline poll:rofl:

It's funny though, even through all this, I still REALLY enjoy my truck
I guess either way, this poll should highlight some of the main hitters.

I have used the TW 3rd generation board as a guideline....................initially for research on buying, and now for information on "potential" issues that others have had that can be used as a baseline. So, if I read that someone has heard (for example) clicking somewhere, and they resolved it, it gives me a route to go on. So far, there has been nothing to make me overly paranoid as I have driven vehicles that scare the crap out of most ppl. I am good to go!

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I'm just sittin' here like "Man, I'm glad that 3.5L motor gets better fuel mileage than my 4.0L"

Does that mean there are really NO ISSUES, or might it mean...."they have not looked or noticed it yet"..?? One must conclude there "might" be unforeseen "issues" here, yet to "be seen"...know what I mean..??

NO harm, no foul.........I expect it a lot as it seems more guys than gals have the trucks and actually post................hahahahaahahahahaha

I have wanted a Tacoma for years..............I bit the bullet in December and have not looked back! I came from a Jeep Grand Cherokee which had issues from the getgo (weird noises and such) that NO ONE could figure out.........and STILL runs awesome......... Maybe there needs to be a thread for us girl owners!

Sorry to hijack the thread! Back to your originally scheduled postings!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This one is funny, must be that some people think in factory there are bunch of people opening bottles with ATF to fill transmission, instead of programmed machine.
If its misprogrammed machine that means everybody who bought 2016 V6 Auto Truck are driving with 2 qt of low fluid, just some are smart enough to feel there is something wrong others are like

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ss4si8OtFCk

    Problem ? What problem ?
