    Hello!
New to the forum. Finally bought my 1st Tacoma about a month ago. A 2020 Tacoma Off Road in Barcelona Red. My wife said she was sexy and named her Lola. Anyway, I am having a lot of trouble trying to get Android Auto to work on the display. My phone has Android ver9 on it and according to all I've read. My year truck should be compatible. Yet after multiple attempts to load it I get a "The connected device cannot be recognized" I have tried many different things to no avail. I am hoping to find a Tech Nerd out there that can help me or give me a reason why. HELP!

Most likely it is Toyota entune software. What version are you on? Have gone through entune settings. There should be USB one.

There is a USB setting for Entune? Do you know how I would get to it?

Look under menu , then set up and look for something like Entune App Suite. There should be USB settings.
Since you mentioned Android 9, did you download Android Auto to the phone?

Clean the charging port on the phone. Happened to me. Didn't look bad when I started but so much lint came out. Before cleaning the phone could charge but not connect to Android Auto. After cleaning it worked. Try it. Good luck.

I want to thank everyone for all their helpful tips. Special shout to Robe689 for linking me that Android Auto stream. I spent a lot of time looking at all the info and there was a mention of Data cable versus charge only cable and Damn! if that wasn't it. I feel a bit dumb but so damn happy I figured it out with the help with the people on this forum. Thanks again!
