Just bought a set of Morimoto XB LED tailllights for my 2021 Tacoma (TRD Off Road Pkg w/LED headlights). When the vehicle is running the left/driver's side turn signal won't work. Not only that but the front left turn signal and the left dashboard turn signal indicator doesn't work either. Called a Tech @ Morimoto and he suggested I check the resistor in the taillight assembly to see if it's hot. It wasn't. He also told me to switch the Morimoto XB taillights and see if the problem followed the left tailllight. It didn't. Both the left and right XB taillights wouldn't work when plugged into my left/driver's side taillight plugs. Called and spoke to a different tech who said it sounds like the problem is in my truck not their XB taillights. I responded that I didn't think so because the alpha rex tailllights I was replacing with the Morimotos worked fine with my truck running when I reinstalled them. The tech said to send the XBs back for a refund and that them sending me a new set probably wouldn't solve the issue. So I bummed b/c I really like the look of the 3rd Gen. Tacoma Morimoto XB taillights. Any suggestions on how to make em work?

Yes. When I reinstalled my AlphaRex Nova Series Tails they both work fine.

Did you add resistors when you installed the Alpha Rex tails? Maybe there's too much resistance in the circuit now?

No I didn't. Just installed them right outta the box. FYI-I do have Morimoto fogs and their 30" SS light bar installed in my front bumper. I also installed their (Morimoto X3B 3rd brake light with flashing module) none of which caused any issues with Alpha Rex tails.

Do you by chance still have your OEM taillights? I'd personally test how those work as well in addition to the AlphaRex so you could maybe show to them it's isolated to their taillight

I'd put the OEM tails back on and be done with it. You could trouble shoot and try different resistor as mentioned before, but these threads about aftermarket LED turn signal lamps come up often enough for me to stick with OEM lightning. Yourself, and other folks are probably more adventurous than I am whennit comes to getting aftermarket and custom lighting to work.

Unfortunately I already sold my OEM taillights after I bought my Alpha Rex tails. I've got the Alpha Rex reinstalled and they're working fine. (Just wish the Morimoto XBs would've worked also.)

If one side of your truck works with both Morimotos and the other side works with neither, that says to me it is something with your truck (maybe the Alpharex doesn't draw enough current for the problem to reveal itself).

I'll 3rd putting some stock bulbs back in so you can troubleshoot it.
You only need the bulbs plugged into the sockets for troubleshooting (don't need the whole housings).
