I have a 2021 3" lifted tacoma. A rock hit my windshield and my insurance company sent me to safelite. The said they wouldn't be able to calibrate my camera and them I called my dealership in Claremont and they said they couldn't do it either. What do I need to do?

    Yeah
The dealer can do it the phone answerer idiot probably just didn’t realize / understand what you were asking about.
Having said that, a competent glass place could do it as well, is there a reason your insurance is sending you to safelite? They’re probably not even the cheapest option for your ins company so I’m not sure why they’re saying you have to go there.

They can do it. It's they won't, their being asses about it. 2.5 lift on my truck and glass company did it. If it removed and replaced, without being disconnected. Most the time it doesn't need recalibration.

Ok , thanks. I have no issues with it working properly now even after the lift and 33" tires but I was worried if they move the camera during the installation. What if it's off after that. Will I get annoying dings and idiot lights coming on?

Yeah your right about the person who answered I thought I was talking to a service rep. Lol I'm going to call my insurance after I find a decent place to take it to and get them to use another place. . They even tried to stick me with an aftermarket windshield not o.e.m. thanks guys.

Did you ever find a place to do your windshield? Just cracked mine and I was referred to Safelite. I am unable to get someone on the phone to ask the question and am worried about being turned around. I live near the Claremont area too so was wondering if you found a shop that was willing to work with you.

My good friend has been in the windshield business for 40 years and stated that as long as you do unplug anything there is no need to recalibrate anything. Mine and y Son's are lifted, and both have had windshields replaced without issues and my Wife's 4Runner as well.
