Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Not sure if I posted on this thread before.

My 2016 TRD OR, with 76K miles on it. About 25K miles are off road.

Retired, so I do 40+ off road trips per year. About 30 of those are fishing trips covering the southern half of BC.

90% of those trips are to small remote lakes I search out. My fishing trips are always solo remote. Maybe see another fisherman once every 20 trips. The trails in are pretty bad. One of those lakes takes me 1.5 hours to drive the last 1 mile. Absolutely freaking hate that trail but love the fishing.

In just the last 5 years, I have fished 30 lakes that were all new to me when we moved to the Okanagan in BC. Some 120+ lakes fished in BC, and many rivers and streams. Favorite stream fishing is at Skagit River on the Canadian side. Heaven on earth. Can walk 10 miles per day and see no one. Glorious land and water there, but mosquitoes by the millions! :)

Looks like 3 more of the very remote lakes I found, are now off limits due to getting ravaged by wildfires this past summer. The trails in will be impassable now from too many downed trees. Trails are truck width, or less. Lots of truck scratches the norm.

50 years of sport fishing, and still cannot get enough. Every week poring over online maps to find the next spot that I can call my own.

I use a 10 foot Lund. I row. Have an elecric motor but never use it. My back is trashed, so if I can’t get my boat on the roof I take my fishcat 4 instead. Trolling and casting flies for mostly rainbow trout.
