I really love the truck man. I agree that the roof rack really cleans up the look of the truck and makes everything on it balance out. If it were mine I'd do a set of eye lids but with or without them it still looks great.

I agree - looks great John.

Same thing here until this week. I just installed a bed mat this week and 1 of mine is seized. I put anti seize on them all when I added the d-rings and have been using PB on it all week with an impact gun and it won't budge. Even cleaned the threads from under the bed, but no luck. Ill give it one more week of daily spraying before I remove it forcefully or seek a impact with more balls.

I've got a plan in line...gonna need a spring compressor. I can take care of the rear leafs in a saturday afternoon in my apartment parking lot. I can take care of most all of this stuff in spare time, but I'd rather just take a full day and knock it the fuck out.

I've got a shop day planned with a buddy...just gotta find time to be free for a day...

I suggest a real compressor, and not the portable suicide ones. That spring compressor made my lift take an hour longer than normal because I was nervous.

I won't even play with the rental shit. Wall/floor mounted or go away.

As long as you have a floor jack it's actually not to bad to do them without a compressor at all... Just use the weight of the truck to compress them. I've done acouple that way now and worked out.

What do you use to keep the spring compressed?

Install it onto the truck with it all loose, then set the weight of the truck down to compress the spring. There's a write up somewhere around here on how to do it but is pretty simple. I actually feel safer doing it that way than with one of those cheap spring compressors.
