I have 18's and I wheel plenty. You don't need 15" bead locks to go off road.

I offroad plenty and I have a similar setup. Just getting cool wheels doesn't mean you won't offroad.

I'm not trying to say I've gone through the hardest core of rock trails or anything like that, but I"ve never just thought to myself "Í'd really like take my truck there, but my wheels are too nice so I think I won't.""

I guess some people treasure, care for and take care of things better than others!

Meh, trucks are made to do work. Things broken can be upgraded. End up with a better truck in the long run.

If I wanted something to treasure, I'd purchase a luxmobile or a muscle coupe...which is the plan. Just FYI my daily driver is perfectly maintained and still going strong at 182,000mi.

This truck was purchased as a toy, and it will be treated like a toy. Cherishing is using and building it for the purpose, if you want to look at it that way. The Mustang, when it is bought, will be similarly driven like it's supposed to be, but will obviously have a different purpose. I will actually care about the paint on that one.

While I agree with you, I have friends who's trucks have never seen dirt....Not even a dust storm. To each their own, I say. I can apriciate the work put into, and care taken, of a nice clean truck.......which reminds me.......I need to wash mine....

I can allow that as long as it sees a lot of hauling/towing duty.

If someone's just DD'ing a pickup because they're too girly to feel confident driving a civic, the problem isn't the vehicle to begin with.
