Spot on. It's my money, and it's not your decision. I take care of my living expenses, bills, retirement, liquid savings and credit cards in full each month before I make my truck payment, which, along with a few thousand in student loans, is my only debt.

Three year projection is debt free, so the car payment and student loan payments will no longer be a concern.

You manage your finances, and leave me to mine, thanks very much.

Edit: Also, how is purchasing a new 4x4 for playing purposes any different from purchasing a new 'Vette for midlife crisis purposes?

Let me 'splain to you. If you wanted a true offroader, you wouldn't choose a 2nd gen Tacoma, you would buy an older vehicle and put the extra money you've saved in not spending 30k on the Tacoma into upgrading that vehicle. Then you would have a much more capable vehicle for the same or less money. Get it?

Don't come here telling people that they won't take it offroad because they have certain wheels or some shit like that. What, you have a bolt on 3" lift and 33s make you a badass? Guess what, you ain't gonna rock crawl in a Tacoma with a 3" lift and 33s.

I was well aware I could've done better for the money if all I wanted was pure offroad prowess. As we've discussed, if offroad was the only concern I wouldn't have even bothered with a pickup.

Let me splain to you: I can afford to build the new 'coma, and I am.

The purpose of this truck is not pure offroad prowess, and it never was. The purpose of this truck is to have a very capable truck, for the category, in every spectrum: on road, off road, towing, hauling, transporting passengers, and looking damn good on first dates

Sure you can build a trailer rig, and a damn good one, for what I paid for my truck. But I didn't want a trailer rig. I wanted a truck.

    Gettin' clearer, skippy?

I love the fact that everyone bitching seems to think the wheels are what will keep him from going offroad rather than the 2wd. Which is, after all, the first thing I listed

A 3"/33'd Taco will get into plenty of moderate trails. No, it won't do buggy lines...because it's not a buggy. See above to review that point.

    Then don't read 'em.

Solved your problem pretty fucking quick there.

Then quit giving advice about 'em and mind your own business.

So you've been on here for 3 years and have 90 posts total, and decide to come into this thread and go off? Did someone shit on your hood today or something?
