No one's running it into the ground.

Nickel's worth of free advice: There's plenty of shit-giving on this site, and the vast majority of it is good natured. A willingness to laugh at yourself and not go postal over insignificant internet jokes will help you out quite a bit.

    Also, stay in school.

    you didnt help anyone tho

    :notsure:

You put a 32" tire on a stock truck and that's pretty much been understood and known for quite some time

Nothing against you...but you are slightly misguided

285 refers solely to the width of the tire

most issues come in when you get into tires that are taller than 32" in diameter regardless of width

because you're not the only one who thinks that 285 refers to overall size of tire

read up on metric tire sizes

the first number is width...2nd is height in form of ratio to width...3rd is wheel size

"Fit" is a term with many definitions.

The answer most appropriate to your question is that *most* of the time when people say "285s" they are referring to 285/70/17 or 285/75/16 tires which are 33 inches in diameter and have quite a bit of trouble once the stock suspension starts to deform or the tires get turned to full lock....or both.

    *wobbles tits around randomly*

Technically, tires in these sizes still rub even with a 3 inch lift, but it's much less severe. Full clearance can be gained through a combination of trimming, cab mount chop, altered wheel badckspacing, and alignment trickery.

    *puts on tassles*

What you need to do is look up metric tire sizing so you can gain a clearer understanding of how 285 width tires can have many different overall diameters, and thus realize how you became confused.

    Don't do drugs!

Yes. So you know the difference between a 285/75/16 or 285/70/17 from a 285/60/18. It was a joke bro. No need to get confused or upset.
