Land cruiser tricked out comes out just around $90k, a decked out LX comes out just around $100k. So neither is even close to the 20% down for a starter house in San Diego.

Give it a rest until the 29th/31st, then hit em again. Best prices when the dealers are trying to get their monthly quota.

I knew I'd get some fun out of writing this! This site is the best.
yeah, my $43k house in 1993 sold for $70k in 2000 so I'm cheating a bit on that one. My current home is more like 3 TacomaBucks.
My 04 Dakota had a $8k discount...a full 33% The Tacoma beats it only in being newer, and having more tech (Dak had nice interior, v8, AM/FM/CD and power everything AND floor mats.)
So, I'm not whining about the cost of the vehicle, just the obscene markup on add-ons. $329 for floor mats?? sounds like something from a movie!

keep the abuse coming, guys, it's all good!

ps - my first truck I got for free. I shouldn't complain!

Believe it or not there’s something like 2 or 3 LFAs that never sold from dealerships so they’re sitting, waiting, with extremely high price tags

I'd believe it. I guess I had somewhat forgotten about it (admittedly I just glanced at the Lexus website).

People blow more than the price of that new truck on cruise vacations for two. Makes the truck look like a bargain.

Ahh cruises. Never had a desire to waste my money on one. Sure they're lots of fun. But can't see spending the thousands it costs just to be on a party boat. The only cruise I've ever been on is a one week Tiger cruise from Pearl Harbor to San Diego onboard the USS Bonhomme Richard. Now that was fun!

I remember not so long ago trying to scrape up $50 for a very expensive date. Did it and decades later and many $K's still married to her....

Dealer is trying to stick you good.

Contact 25 dealerships via email telling them what you want, what you are flexible on, and what you aren't flexible on. Ask them for the out the door price. Wait for responses. Don't go visit any dealership. Get the best prices and see if they can beat the best deal in your stack. Take the best deal.

Yeah, most other manufacturers are marked up pretty high and can give really big discounts. Not much of that will happen with a Toyota.

you see the range that you can get an F-150 in now... anywhere from the 2.7l 4 banger automatic and have 4x4 for around 38k... but go to a v-8 and its upwards of 43k... and thats not adding any "features" or creatre comforts... then theres the raptor... $52k.... if you step up to a diesel engine look out for $55k easily with any towing options & 4x4......
