    This is me---->

    My first vehicle ever was a '98 Tacoma AC TRD OR Prerunner and she was a beast! Couldn't slow her down for nuthin (accept deep sand of course...2wd) My second and current vehicle is an '09 Tacoma DCSB TRD OR 4x4 and I'll probably own another Tacoma in another 10 years! I didn't do much to the first vehicle but adding a front grille. I'm all growed up now and ready to build what I've been dreaming for years! Below is my plan, if anyone has suggestions for places to get good deals on these parts let me know! Ordering in the next 2-3 months at the latest.

    Suspension: 3" lift
    Front - Icon extended travel coilover with LR UCAs
    Rear - OME Dakar pack, (re-researching good rear shocks with proper length for full droop, apparently OME nitrochargers are short, limiting the dakar's available travel, trying to find out if the Icon rear 2.0 shocks are long enough)

    Wheels: "I CAN'T DECIDES" with -12 offset and small backspacing wrapped in tires sized after lift is on, which will be wide (I miss the easy measurements like 33x12.5, which is why I like ), spidertrax are a possibility :annoyed:

    The future will bring a front bumper, love that open face profile with huge approach angle and exposed wheels. However, i doubt I'll ever jump to long travel stuff, I prefer low maintenance (thanks for the LT Intro http://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/considering-long-travel-read-here-first.180457/ Mxpatriot, you saved me a headache).

    Anyone know a good shop in the Atlanta, GA area to get some solid help, and a CMC? If not I'm moving to CO at the end of this year and can wait till I get there, I see a lot of yall are from out there!!!

    I'm open to criticism and suggestions if ya got 'em. I'm hoping for a "do it right the first time" type of job:fingerscrossed:

    Welcome! I have no personal experience with Dakars, but I've read they can be a bit stiff. I think there are some other leaf packs out there geared more towards wheeling and less towards a heavy payload. Check out the All Pro expo leaf packs.

    For tires, I'd shy away from the 12.5 wides unless you won't wheel much, don't mind a bunch of chopping, or don't mind rubbing. The more common size around here is 285/70r17 or 285/75r16. Either way, welcome and enjoy modding your truck! Be sure to post on whatever you decide on.

    Thanks all for the welcomes!

    Eatsleeptacos I appreciate the input. I didn't consider wheel chop. And looking into All Pro led me to the "Lola kit" which I like the look of. Just need to get some info on which Walker Evans shocks they use.

    Glad I could be of some help! All pro makes some good stuff. I have their Apex sliders and they're super beefy.

    Okay, as promised pics of the stock taco. A few hours late because I couldn't live with a plain shot in the driveway.
