    Once when I was driving, I stopped and paid cash for a Mt Dew and a bag of chips.

    Does that count?

    OP, did this experience totally sour you on the 3rd gen or are you going to give another one a chance?

    And lastly, the vast majority of new vehicles on the road are either financed or leased.

    If auto loans/leases became unavailable tomorrow, the auto industry would be in a world of hurt in just a few days.
