No can do on #5. The Average Tacoma owner spends $10,000 on upgrades. You don't want to be average do you? You should be spending at least $15,000.

OP... I didn't do any of those things. I just drive it. If it breaks ... I'll take it back ot tow it there. I didn't buy a new vehicle so I could worry about working on it. I have plenty of junk around here that doesn't have a warranty to worry about on my time and dime. If my truck fails I give it back to the Toyota dealer to worry about. That's the beauty of buying new.

Also... you bought a manual transmission. There is no such thing as "flushing". You empty it, and fill it again.

Try not to worry so much. Don't read Smitty's posts - they will fill you with angst. Good luck! :)

OP you don't need any kind of neurosis about your transmission, not the fluid level, not the TSB, no worries. the '17 MT's don't have these issues at all... only if you happen to get one sitting around made before the stuck in reverse problem. i don't think that'll happen since there aren't any MT's just sitting around.

i think you can also kick the oil change down the road to 5k. whatever you choose tho, don't argue your point around here or else... well you already see. :hattip:

TRD pro grill, trd auto shift knob, truxport roll up bed cover, painted red front calipers, tinted front windows, vital 2-way auto remote start. Hood scoop LED light bar. Bumper Auxbeem 32” LED light bar with Caliraised brackets. Infinity reference speaker upgrade with dynomat. 1.25 spidertrax wheel spacers. Supernova V.4 LED low beam H11 bulbs.

Congrats! I wouldn't recommend picking it up on a rainy cloudy day so that you can inspect the paint thoroughly. I'd even have them throw it up on the lift so that you can inspect the under carriage. Then have them check off # 1 on your list. Other then that enjoy!

You might be correct but guess I am not average. No way would i spend almost 40000 on a truck and put 10000 in mods on it. Not only could I not afford it, I probably wouldn't do it If I could afford it.
