It's been 4 months and my XM trial subscription is still going...

I'm not getting billed am I?

I got a letter from Sirius a couple months back but I didn't read it and I think I threw it away.

I got a letter from them the other day. Personally, I wouldn't pay a nickle for a lifetime of it. I also threw it out. Let's hope this isn't one of those "you didn't say you didn't so we assumed you did" deals that people try to sneak by unsuspecting people.

 

If I recall correctly, if you don't cancel it then they start billing you for it. What you threw away was probably a bill.

 

I can't remember where I read this, but mine is free for 6 months. I think that was in an email from Sirius? You might still be good for a few more months like me.

 

Nope. They need your credit card to bill you.

I bought a years subscription and a very reduced rate and that's it. I won't be renewing. Not worth it.

 

My buddy had it for 2 years free when he bought his 2016 tundra before they cut him off lol. He was only suppose to have it for the trial period. He was never billed.

On the other hand they cut me off soon as the free 3-4 months was over.

They run a 6 month promo for 25 or 30 bucks that you have to set a calendar reminder to call and say you want to cancel to get them to renew it again at the same rate. If you want to keep it. 5 bucks a month isn't so bad for me personally.

 

If it's your fist subscription with your truck your ok. But will be getting billed at about $19.00 per month if you renewed a 6 month trial once it's up, You better call them or check your credit card. Did you give them your card # ?

 

In our 2011 Highlander we had free satellite radio for the first 5 years. My Tacoma has exactly 90 days.

 

Unplug your battery for a while. Then plug it back in. Let your tuner try to refresh. That’ll probably fix it.

 

Did you give them CC or bank draft info when you activated?

If they don't have your data, they can't bill you. Their only option is to disconnect you.

If you gave them billing info, you need to decide what you want to do.......... I've heard of folks even having to cancel their CCs to get it to end.

 

My trial just ended, three years after vehicle purchase. Called Sirius and got a decent deal for a 12 mo. subscription.

 

They called me a couple weeks before it ended and I talked to the rep and got a year subscription for $20. You have to be a salesman right back to them.

 

I thought my sales person told me 3 but if it's 6 then it's all good.

I never gave Sirius anything directly. XM was already on when I rolled the truck off the lot.

 

Tbh I don't listen to XM that often. A few country channels and the sports channels for football were nice. $20 for a year is pretty solid though.

 

I think mine told me 3 months, too. The email from Sirius shows 6 months (purchased Dec 2017).

People who bought in Dec got 6 months free for part of Toyotathon.

 

Had it for 4 years for free on my subaru, sometimes it stopped then came back. Maybe its just a Canadian thing tho.
