welp, this is a goodbye. Sold my tacoma, and tomorrow I pick up a cummins diesel. Its been fun and Ill miss my truck, but excited to see what the future holds for my new one. With that said, I have a few parts ill be putting up for sale as well.

Stock double cab radio , bezel and speakers.

Some stock control arms, and maybe a few other things.

    Take it easy all.

What year CTD? I had an '05, Quad Cab, 5.9 high output, etc..... Was nice until you've re-built the front end three times in less than a 100K miles. The motor was a brute force, but everything else absolutely blows on the trucks.

Since that truck I have owned three newer Fords and one Chevy 3/4 gasser. I am so happy to back in a Toyota (I sleep better at night these days)

The only problem with the Cummins is it is connected to a Dodge. I had 2 of them and they would pull the world in the opposite direction if given a chance. That said.... The truck is a piece of shit. Good luck and I hope you have good luck out of it

How about you just buy another tacoma instead of a piece of crap dodge than you can up your post count by building another truck.

I often think about getting a full sized truck. But with the tundra so expensive and everyone I know having issues I never see when they buy domestic I stop thinking about it

Got 2 guys at the station right now that have just purchased Fords. One a King Ranch that the rear end has been rebuilt twice within 3 months. The other a Expedition that he has had for one month and had to be towed 3 times on a trip to SC. That is not to say that anything mechanical can break. Toyota's just tend to break less.

To be fair, Dodge err Ram (I still call it a Dodge and prob always will) but anyway, they supposedly have corrected all the early crappy Dodge-ness out of the trucks for 2013+ (Op did not indicate which year he was planning to purchase) But if it's a 2013+ he should be good to go. In all seriousness, if I needed a 3/4 ton or larger capacity truck, it would be a 2014, CTD for sure. Don't want that crappy IFS setup Chevy & GMC have had forever, and quite frankly, Fords can't stay out of the repair shop for more than a week without getting homesick.

This was my '05 CTD, like I said awesome engine wrapped around a very crappy truck. If I was the Op, I would keep driving my Tacoma and wait for a rumored Toyota/ Cummins marriage to happen in the near future.

Just sold this 2013, Ford F-150, FX4, EcoBoost "Max Tow" to get my base Toyota Tacoma, Double Cab. Nobody would believe me but even after owning both the CTD and FX4 powerhouses, I love my Tacoma 10X's more. It's just weird, but these Toyota's are just screwed together tighter. (I'm also on my 4th 2nd gen Tacoma so it's not like I'm new to them or anything)

Just what is wrong with a Mini.......

That is what my wife drives, a 2013 Mini Countryman S. It is a real blast to drive, but it really really likes driving at 85mph on the freeway.

I initially typed Fiat... But then it dawned on me that there was no possible scenario in which I would buy a Fiat. A Mini is at least in the realm of POSSIBILITY. I am 6'2" though so they are a tad cozy. I have nothing against them I actually like em. Especially the new ones.
