I am 6'3", and there is lots of room in the Countryman. Which is sort of the Maxi Mini.

My boss's 2010? 2500 has been in the shop for 6 weeks in the past 4 months. First time was a blown turbo. 4 weeks continuous at this point with a seized motor.

My 05' 2500 was the biggest pile i've owned. At 120k it needed a full rebuild and injectors..

To sleep well tonight don't do a google search involving the words: blowby, white smoke, or oil leaking from drain hose.

not too worried about it. Already have check it all out and drove, etc. Took my buddy who is a big cummins / diesel guy to help me check it all over.

I am pretty mechanically inclined myself. :p

One of the only issues I have with a diesel is availability of diesel on long road trips...some fuel stations only sell gasoline, and not diesel...I would hate to be on a long trip, and needing diesel, to not find any available.

You would have to pay me to use a dodge daily, and i still wont give up my taco. Good luck with that, and there will be a spot back when you realize the mistake you made... ;)

oh ill always be a toyota fan. I pretty much like all cars for the most part.
Heck i still regret selling my last toyota I had. That was a 94 fully built singled supra that I built myself. I kick myself all the time for that one, but it was replaced by my current Vette Z06.

Good luck, I was on the third trans in 70k miles on my 06. The 48RE is crap!

The 48RE 4-speed trans in these trucks from 2003-2007 IIRC, is one of the worst transmissions ever. Mine was slipping badly at just 45K miles, but to be fair, I ran an Edge tuner, along with a few bolt-on's on the truck from about 12K miles to 56K when I sold it.

The 48RE also has a clip or snap-ring that is about a $20 part that fails between 50-100K miles. The kicker is you've got to drop & crack the case to fix this.

Best thing I would do, is plan for a full aftermarket trans rebuild. Worth every penny above any other mod you can do for these trucks.

I would have the crusher at the top of the list. Anything coming from the bailout bandits is garbage. Put it out of it misery and crush it. A lot less pollution that way.
