can someone tell me if it provides more protection coverage area than the stamped steel stock one? and if so, how much more? oilpan coverage vs. stock?

Bad news, friends! Surefire called me an hour or two ago... Apparently they had an error in their system and the code we all used was not supposed to stack on top of the cyber monday deal they were already doing for the 6PX's... Normal price is $95/ea. The cyber monday deal was $38/ea but the 'ALLTHELUMENS' took another 30% off down to the ~$28/ea we all paid for two. Well.. that was an error that their management said they cannot offer even though it was half of their sales. They said their system automatically cancelled all of those orders. The options they gave were to honor the $38/ea price or to cancel the order. I decided to keep the order since it's still a good deal (just not an amazing deal like before). They offered two-day shipping for the hassle and bumped it to overnight when I asked. You all may hear from them soon if you haven't already. Sorry for the mixup! A lot of the internet had the same problem...

 

I got an email saying they were back ordered and decided to cancel my order completely. That was the only impulse buy I did over Black Friday and really didn’t need them

 

I just looked i paid 38 a light it looks like i got a email saying they are back ordered!

 

They told me they aren't actually backordered, that was another system error. They are just trying to catch up with the shipments. They should all be going out this week. If you paid ~28 per light, they'll contact you and ask if you want to cancel or pay $38. If you paid $38, it should ship in the next few days.

I just got it too. That’s total bullshit. They should honor that price since it is their screw-up.

 

I agree it's pretty shitty of them, I would get it if they were a small business and not signing multi million dollar government contracts every couple of years.

 

So true. We all know they can afford the hit they’d take. Still would’nt be much of one based on the sheer amount of those flashlights they sold. Pure greed.

 

Got my email today too. I agree, shitty policy. $38 is still a fair price but I won't be reordering.

 

They probably have to cancel the orders due to global competition laws. There are laws set in place that outline why retailers can sell things at certain discounts, and an error in a discount code is definitely not on that list.

 

I really don't think that antitrust laws will apply to the manufacturer setting their own discount for a loss. They're not a retailer that agreed to a map price they are the manufacturer and can honor an advertised discount.
