I love the whole "PC vs Mac" thing. (that's sarcasm). Shouldn't it really be "Windows vs Mac?"

When was the last time you've heard of PC's running other OS's having problems? Things like Linux or Silarus?

poke fun if you like- i use everything, so i'm not really on any side... i use each operating system and computer for what it does best, and honestly i don't see what the big deal is... they all do the same thing in the end anyways.

I just prefer the choices and openness of windows. I can build my own machine with exactly the parts I want in it for less money. windows has always worked just fine for me.

Windows is good for people who are good with computers.

Mac is good for people who are somewhat computer-retarded. (like me)

i understand every aspect of the argument, but there is no one point that weighs the scales favorable in one direction or another. Since they all do the same thing it's really comes down to personal preference. i love windows 7 and have it on my main desktop and netbook, but when i need to do video and photo editing i use a mac pro, my torrent box is running xp, and when i work on someone's machine i use Linux live cds... all i'm saying is there is no ONE best os, they each have their own strengths and weaknesses but if you just take each one for what it is and use it for it's strengths then you really never have to settle for their weaknesses. windows/pc has weaknesses, but you're comfortable with them, then that makes it the best one for you- but that doesn't make it the best one for the rest of us.
