It's NOT the O2 sensor. Hessitates, stumbles, poor gas milage, P0130, P0133, P0172

    Yes, OEM.

It's a lot of work but I suppose I could try switching the fuel rails off the 98 base model I don't see how that's going to change the voltage of the O2 sensor though?

    OME and worth every penny.
Following as I have a Ford giving me the same fits on a Bank 2 rich code. Good luck and please record your results.
172s and 175s seem to be some of the worst you can get.

You clearly have a fueling issue. You are pulling almost 50% fuel. The afr sensor is is a 0-1v sensor so it's essentially stuck rich. What's happening most likely is an injector is stuck open dumping gas. The computer can only add or subtract fuel to all cylinders. Since it runs rich it subtracts fuel leaning out the 3 good cylinders. When you reset the battery the 3 normal cylinders run good but as it pulls fuel it leans those 3 out causing it to run poor. I'd swap injectors and see what happens.

    Problem Solved.

I changed out the "real" ECT on the back of the motor, but I also changed out the fuel rail + all injectors with my 98 base model. running 100% perfect like a dream.
Not 100% sure if it was the ECT or the fuel rail that fixed it... but I think it's the fuel rail because now the 98 base model runs like shit... but I think the ECT also went bad and needed to be changed.
Either way, I'm beyond thrilled that it's fixed.

Big thanks to TnShooter for the help, where should I get injectors?

I'm surprised because I got new injectors last year, they worked like crap so I bought OE Denso's that had been remanufactured.... I tested the Ohm's on all injectors before installation and also yesterday when I pulled them.... they all read the correct 13 Ohms. Not sure how or why they went bad, but I'm pissed because they were expensive and the one's I bought before that were even worse... so....

Where should I buy new injectors? because my two other trucks need them.

I bought these less than a year ago. It's says they are real Denso OEM injectors, just remanufactured. It says lifetime warranty I guess I should contact the seller and see if I can get them replaced or refunded.

Taco Rider, thanks for posting this thread, I’m having quite similar problems with my 95 Tacoma, have been all over the lot replacing a lot of parts.
Although I haven’t got to the bottom of it yet, your last on the injectors has got my attention.
It had two f’d up exhaust valves, so had the head rebuilt, assumed that was a result of improper injection?
I bought rebuilt ones and one was dead from the getgo!
I’ve got to track down the oem numbers and order the correct injectors to get back on firm footing for possible future troubleshooting, or hopefully not.

Yes, it was definitely the fuel injectors. My old ECT was in spec (changed it anyways) and the 98 base model that I swapped with now has all the same problems that the first truck had.

I was going to upgrade to some Pinky's...

    https://parts.longotoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-fuel-injector-2320979135

but since I have a known, good working set, and pinky's are $105-190 per injector I thought I give the Rock Auto's a try.

    Standard Motor's look really good,

but at~ $95 per injector I'd just get OEM Pinky's instead

So I thought I'd give the GB REMANUFACTURING a try.

The OEM remanufactured injectors that failed, I bought from an American company on eBay, and they have a lifetime warranty.... so I need to hit them up and see if they are going to make good on it... you "can" get good injectors on eBay, but it's really hit or miss. YMMV.

    good luck.

Your P0139 and P0133 indicate a faulty injector. I have used, and I trust "Motorwest Performance". They open up, clean, and rebuild injectors using new seals and whatever else goes inside. They are in Canoga Park, CA and their phone number is (747) 888-9768.

Lots of other folks in this forum have used them too, and I don't recall reading any complaints.

The price is good. Very good. ;)
