    True story.
My Dad was not happy how I was splitting wood with a maul/wedge and decided to show me how it's done. First swing he hit the outside edge of the wedge and it shot out of the wood and stuck right in his shin. He laid on the ground for a while before pulling it out. Dad was sometimes kinda mean, so I didn't ask if I could just do it the way I had been, but I wanted to.

Old thread, but funny. I found it because as a new Taco owner, pretty much the first thing that happened to me on my first drive was I cranked my shin on the lower dash. Not from getting in the vehicle, but from stepping on the clutch. Since the seat is pretty low to the floor, I raised it up all the way, thinking I'd find my comfort spot as I lowered it. Stepped on the clutch at that high seat height and bam, nailed my left shin really hard right on the dash. I can only raise the seat about halfway or I will consistently hit my shin on the dash.

I'm also 6'1". Try it. Front of seat all the way down. Rear of seat all the way up. Heel on mat in natural position. Press clutch all the way to ground. Report back.

    taco shin?

no, my truck doesn't inflict damage. but my shins are all sorts of messed up from ladders at work, and a rowdy childhood of BMX sharp pedals to keep feet planted that didn't work...
