LOL, my dad had a little Datsun F-10 wagon. I was lucky enough to drive an FJ 40, 71, in high school. The battery blew up in the land cruiser when I was off roading one day. I "borrowed" Dad's Datsun F-10, his work car, to get the battery out of my land cruiser. Dad was home when I was taking a battery back to to the cruiser and decided he would drive me in the Datsun... anyhow I had a hell of a time explaining how I got that little car up the fire road where my cruiser was...

 

When they came out with those back side windows that arched above the roof line I got so jelly. Felt like a second gen owner.

 

NOBODY should ever have to feel like 2nd gen owners, except 2nd gen owners.

 

Also remember thinking how cool the SE graphics looked. Wow, I was such a fucking loser.

 

We got the Ranger back, the Jeep Comanche in the wings, 3rd gen Tacoma, Nissan is making pure profit off every Frontier they sell. Nissan has been selling e same truck since most Tacoma owners have had a drivers license...

 

I don’t know man. Those were the days, and that shit DID look cool. The first long travel set up I ever saw in person was on this kids hardbody who worked at a surf shop. It was over for me. I think I threw my surfboard into a canyon and never looked back.

 

Every F150, Silverado, and Ram displaced is a victory in my eyes.
