So I’ve got 300 miles on her now filled up the tank again today. Going to go off-roading this weekend and try this thing out . Changing the rear springs out tomorrow now it’s 300 over 350 and I’m going to 400 over 500. She drives like a sloppy whore right now and I’m running 4” of spring preload just to keep ride hight. Should perform better with the new springs. I’m driving it everyday as m daily driver. And I ordered my 40” KM3 today so they will be at my plant in the next 14 days. I’m probably going to lower the ride 3” with shock preload when I put those tires on.. C5431D61-4A6B-41B8-A1C1-844DBEE4EF4D.jpg

Yes there is 3° of tilt out on the top mount. And I know that that will hammer my wobble stopper. If I have to replace the covers every 10,000 miles big deal .takes 20 minutes. And I think I might go to another type of wobble stopper? We’ll see how these wear.. my AS# is in the high 90s my CS I’m still working on numbers. The lower my height the better my numbers are. We’ll see when the 40” tires are on in week. Here is full stuff you can see a little angle. I’ll probably build out the control arm front mount 3” out from the frame that would solve that problem. Now that you mentioned it .. 77398F86-9D26-4E4D-8D5C-4EB7EB79EAF4.jpg

The truck handles good. I can drive down the freeway at 80 eating a burger,No problem.Drives super straight and soft. It’s only when I turn fast I’m getting a ton of body roll. That’s cool about the sway bar I’ll just ditch it and run 400/500 set up and see how that goes. I’m fortunate to live 35min from Kartec and 35min away from Accutune off-road 20 min away from Fabtech and 40 min from Total Chaos. All kinds of parts at my fingertips. I’ve been doing lots of burn outs and doughnuts trying to brake the truck I’m getting no wheel hop on burnout just need to ditch some body roll and I’ll be happy. ( for a moment) Well I’m off to Carson for some springs..

Ha ha .. ok I’m dumping the 3 link .. going to a 4 link and adding a fuel cell 22 gallon. Anyone adapt a cell with the stock gauge. What fuel sending unit to use what fuel and regular to use ? Dropping it off and having it all done for me. When all else fails pay someone to do it ...

I built my truck on the side of my house. Me alone. I got some ideas from some friends. And decided to go for it. So now I had my fun. And it is time to go pro. I hired a top 10 SCORE fabrication company to design fab my new rear 4 link and install a fuel cell. My 3 link design works and handles awesome now with the new springs. I just don’t like my welds and my fabrication is sloppy. So I can say I tried I didn’t give up. I had a bet with a friend that my fab wouldn’t last 1hour. And I have 400 miles on my welds and design. I won the bet! Next we will all see world class fabrication on my baby.

I wish I had some pictures. But not yet... Solo Motorsports will have my truck next week. All my work in the rear to be cut off. The rear frame will be spotless before they start the new work. A new 4 link will be fabricated. And all 4 links will be the same length. The links will all pivot from the same spot in the front. The axle will be retrussed. New shock hoops for the 10” king coilovers. A new 32 gallon enduro 3/8 aluminum fuel tank is being fabricated . I’m using an external fuel pump and a custom fuel sending unit to match the stock fuel gauge. All smog equipment to stay and will be plumed back in. At that point the 40” KM3 17x12.5x40 will be installed all the fiberglass will be trimmed to clear. So excited my truck is headed for big things. My sponsors are happy they will have a museum piece to show off there parts when my truck is on display. Good Times

Yep 40” tires ! I’m in da club now , what’s up Big Mike ! So now I think this is the largest independent 3rd gen tacoma.. bracket lift with a long travel and the 3 link rear boasting 12 travel in the front and 16” in the rear. I just need a name for her now? Tacomazilla ? saurus taco.lol The tires aren’t that bad on the road. They are singing a little. I’ll get an alignment tomorrow and go out for a longer ride. I’m just going to drive the shit out of this truck until they call me and tell me to to bring it in for the 4 link and new gas tank.

So some guy sent me this. I guess with this kit you would have the biggest independent tacoma. 4WD even but have not seen one in action. A little to high for wheeling. My little 6” bracket is just enough to clear the 40’s. I don’t see a Triple Bypass with this kit earthier ..903009D9-DA2A-4CA2-963B-B556D465BC6D.jpg
