After more researching...LOL...I'm down to this list. (Most likely)

    1. Toyo OC AT2 (Good friend with Toyotas swears by them)
    2. Michelin either AT or MS...not sure still.

Yes, they always have black on one side. No chance I’m running the big white letters out

The "black" side doesn't have "Michelin" in large raised letters. It's a totally different design.

Man that looks super sharp. Nice job. Those wheels are a work of art too. Wish my 4Runner wheels were black.

Thanks, I think the SCS wheels help improve the looks of the my girlie Michelin’s.

I’m pretty sure you could lay a clean turd around some SCS wheels and it’d look good. But...for girlie tires they look sleek and make it look like clean af.

Why’d you pick the Toyo over the falken? I had the Toyo and it wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. I have the Michelin defenders right now and they are very nice, mine have been on for nearly 4 years and about 40,000 miles and still have 5/32 tread depth. I’m thinking I’m going to replace them with the falken though, probably try to sell the defenders.

The Wildpeaks seems to be the heaviest of the bunch. That’s my only hold up on them.

Damn now I’m dropping those down the list.

I’m kinda thinking since I have a sport longbed, not a OR shortbed (which I’d prefer if I was a serious off-roader), the Defenders are a better urban assault look for a sport. Robocop style. New Detroit.

Quick observation of the Michelin’s. They are much quieter then my Hankook Dynapros were. Didn’t think the Hankooks were loud but after driving these around I realized how much quieter it is inside the cab. They seem a tad softer but that could just be because the Hankooks were 3 years old. But the ride seems a tad better, but nothing night and day different. I had forgot about the noise the Michelin’s make at slow speed like parking lots. They have a distinct sound, like the tread gripping the road. If you roll down your windows you can hear it. Gives your confidence they have good grip. More to come after I drive some more.

If the Miches feel soft, air them up a little. I find that 34psi front and 32psi rear is where they seem to ride best for me. You'll feel a drastic difference in rolling resistance at those pressures compared to the pressures suggested on the door sticker.

I’ll add this here , something to think about is how the tread wears with age. The defenders look exactly the same at 5/32 as they did when new, most other tires I’ve looked at loose their siping and look bald or smooth after a lot of wear. I was mostly convinced I’d be getting falken but I may have talked myself into keeping the defenders. If you want to know what a tire willlook like with wear do a google search of “used whatever brand tire” and see what some used tire sites have. I was planning on the yoko g015 but they look like crap after wearing down.
