So I've got this RASP thats been killing me on low RPMs. Probally till 3K and then its sounds like a beast. Its irritating as I love the power and sound of my truck past 3K. Its sounds real nice if I'm easy on it too. However if I'm gassing it more than usual or giving it the business. Here comes that RASP! I don't like it one bit and read a lot about it to get rid of.

Will I be able to tone it down w/DT Y-Pipe Bomb? I know its going to remove the stock ones.

Here is my current set up to see if anyone has any Experience or advice.

    TRD CAI + DTLH + URD MAF CAL. + ( STOCK Y ) + TRD CATBACK EXHAUST

    I want the RAAASSSSSPPP Gone ! ! !

    Thanks in Advance

I have heard from many that the pipe bomb makes the rasp worse. Do a search, there are several guys that have done this mod and noticed the rasp. And try and center your post, next time mr. doublespace.

maybe it's the dtlt's and trd exhaust combo?
pipe bomb and 24" magnaflow(i think thats the longest) should calm down the sound.

    Lots baby!
The resonator is the way to go. Do it right after the y pipe.

I swapped my flowmaster with a Magnaflow exhaust and that got rid of the rasp. I went a step further and added a resonator too. I like my interior quiet.

get the vibrant resonator..(Amazon.com) $90.00 + shipping ......ran into same problem, put one in and got rid of most of the rasp with the dt pipe bomb...put my stock y pipe back in and now it is PERFECT......better low end torque and sounds a whole lot better, no rasp at all rpms:D

I've got a cai and Gibson exhaust....will the pipe bomb y-pipe create a rasp? My reading on here leads me to believe it's the dtlh that generate the rasp, not the y pipe.
