    Hey All!

I've been lurking around the forum for a while, finally decided it was time to join.
I bought my 2013 Tacoma TRD (in beautiful Pyrite Mica) in May of this year.
So far I've changed out my antenna for a 13" stubby, and installed a K&N intake, but now I'm looking to lift it and put some bigger wheels on it.

In my lurking I decided that I liked the look of a 3" lift with 265/75/16s and -12mm offset with 4" back spacing (not sure why it's 2 different measurement, but that's the info I have), and now now I'm trying to execute the look myself.
At this time of year I'm looking at winter tires, probably Hankook iPikes, and for rims I've found series 97 ProComps.

Lifts however are where I'm really struggling. I've had bilstein and OME lifts recommended to me, and I've found both online (bilsteinlifts.com), being in Canada and the dollar being absolute sh*t lately, it's not great ordering from the States.
So today I went in to Cap-it, and another similar store and got quotes. Cap-it was nearly useless as far as lifts, and at the other store the guy was trying to sell me on a mix and match lift with fox something up front and blocks in the back.
He was also telling me to be careful about going higher as they did a 3" lift for someone and had a hell of a time doing the alignment. Is that real? do I need to play with more than suspension to cure that?
I'm not huge into off-roading, but since this is my first truck I havent had a lot of chances to get into it. This will change!
It is however my only vehicle so has to get me to and from work (100km/day).

So, anyone with any advice, to any of it: Please share your wisdom!

    Here's what I'm working with:

Welcome! And Nice Tacoma I like the Long bed. I have a 2011 Sport Long Bed. As for the Wheels the backspacing not sure. I am running 17x9 Pro Comp 1089's with a 4.75 backspace. I have 275 x 70 x 17 BFG's All Terrain's with a 2.5'' Lift/leveling kit. . But maybe with the 265's could be ok as they are not as wide. The 4'' back spacing would only stick out .75'' more than the 4.75. Anyways nice looking truck.

Welcome! At 3" you will want to get yourself some aftermarket upper control arms, that will allow you to get the proper alignment. Light Racing upper control arms are the cheapest I think, I'd look at those. For info on wheel measurements, look at the wheels and tires section of the forum. There is a thread right at the top that has a nice diagram.
