What jack and jack stands would I need to lift my truck and work on it safely (including lying underneath it) for things like rotating tires, replacing brakes, etc.? Is a 3 ton jack with 6 ton jack stands good? I am looking to get my equipment from Harbor Freight. Any specific jacks and jack stand recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks!

You'll need the 6 ton jack stands for your truck. I have the Pittsburgh 3 ton low profile jack and it works perfectly! My jackstands came from Autozone which are just rebranded and colored Torin Big Red brand. They work well.

forget the "pittsburgh" stuff, any of it, all of it.

for a jack, get that harbor freight daytona long reach jack, i have it, its great.

for jack stands im more conservative.. i went with US Jack stuff, expensive but bomb proof. https://www.usjack.com/products/garage-jack-stands

I use the 6 ton stands from Harbor Freight and the older grey Pittsburgh Low Profile 3 ton. It works well, I did modify it for offroad use also. My father has the red 3 ton Rapid Jack which also works well.
I have no worries about using the Pittsburgh stuff.
