What does everyone use for a jack that isn't a hi-lift? I've always had a lowered car, so my low-pro aluminum jack has been good to me over the years, but it maxes out even with a 2x4 under the frame and barely gets the tires off the ground on a stock height 3rd gen. Eventually I'd like to do sliders and front/rear armor, so I'd have good hi-lift points there, but what should I do in the interim? I haven't found any that goes above a 21" or so lift height. Bottle jack perhaps? I'm trying not to lift it from the rear/front diffs either.

Extra wood blocks for that Lo-bro jack?? for :drunk:

Seriously ... I'm afraid to think about it.....I won't get a flat tire.. Oh wait I have Toyota Care 24/7 (off)road service.

Of course when I need it I will be in Canadian wilderness and no Toytota dealer for 100 miles.

I'm thinking the only thing I can do is a big block of wood, even though that's kinda sketchy still.

It is a lot safer to put wood under the jack (NOT under the wheels, but the frame of the jack)

I actually don't have a jack or jackstands that fit my truck anymore. But I can do oil changes sitting underneath lol.

I bought the Safejack and love it! It fits in place of the stock jack, although a little tight, but it fits. I store all the extra bits next to it in a little bag. Lifts my truck with 3" lift just fine with plenty of height

Harbor Freight sells a wide variety of floor jacks for the garage. The 4 ton would work just fine. I have the 3 ton and it does the job. If I had to do over though, I'd go with the 4 ton for it's extra height benefits.

Hey Calvin, you can just but an extension and use your existing jack.

Because of this thread, I finally pulled the trigger and purchase the Big Wheel Jack, been eyeing it for months ;) But I needed a second jack anyways.
