What’s a good bang for the buck portable jack for the Taco? Placement is important to me because I haul stuff around all the time in the bed.

You should have one under the seat?

I’d you’re meaning other than that, what’s your use case?

The oem seems cheap and weak like all oem jacks. I was thinking of a bottle jack being more useful etc. One that won’t rust like most I’ve had do.

So, i just had to change out my tire today. I didn't mind the jack.

The truck ahead of me lost its entire tire and rim. They separated, both hit the median wall and rolled back into traffic. The rim hit my front driver tire and put a 10" gash and a small scratch on my rim. I got lucky. No damage to the truck.:bananadance::burnrubber::cheers:

As for the jack, it's easy to get to, easy to place, easy to lift the truck...for the most part. I use my fingers to get it to touch the truck, then the tire iron and spare tire extension to crank it to height. It takes a fair amount of revolutions. Only drawback. I'd love a quicker jack, but that might mean larger, more weight, and harder to store.

Part of me worries about the smoothness of the jack's head. It might slip if not placed correctly or if the truck is at any angle. It did the job though.

OEM worked fine. But a cheap Pittsburgh from Harbor Freight should be sufficient. 545448E4-218A-4784-AD6E-3658319903B2.jpg
